Put the eggs in the water while it is still cold. Once the water comes to a rolling boil, cover and take off of the heat. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Dump the water, leaving the eggs in the pot. Then lightly shake the pot, so the eggs hit the side, cracking the shells. They should peel right off.

The best way to shell an egg is to shell it under cool running water. If at all possible do not use fresh eggs. Keep them in the frig for a few days. The shell best if they are a few days old. When boiling a dozen eggs make sure your pot is big enough to have just one layer. If not use two pots.

I agree with all of these but take it from someone who had to peel 48 eggs a day for 3 months (Don't ask!!!)- this is the best way to do it.
Start off with water covering the eggs in a pot bring to a boil and keep on a rolling boil for 6 min for runny yolks, 8 min for medium yolks and 10 min for hard boiled.
Then take them off the heat and drain the liquid. Then this is the important part - Fill the pot with ICE water - and let them get cold - about another 5-8 min. (10-12 min would cool the egg through to the yolk if that's what you want - like for a salad then do that)
Remember physics... Heat makes things expand and cool makes things contract. The egg inside will expand as it cooks, and if you shock them after cooking they will retract inside the shell and make them easier to peel.
Crack both ends on the counter and peel off in large sections of shells.

Whether it's one egg or a dozen-cover with water and bring to a boil, then turn on low and cover for 16 minutes. The key to the shell coming off easy is, after you take them off the burner, drain and let sit in cold water for about 10 minutes (in the sink is ok). Then, I peel them all and put in tupperware in the fridge, instead of waiting to peel when I need them later.

Cover the eggs in a pan with cold water. Bring to a boil, and let boil for about five minutes. Take off heat and cover with a tight lid. Let sit for 20 min - no peeking. Pour off the hot water, and flush with cold several times. Let sit in cold water at least a half hour.

put eggs in pan, fill with cold water 'till eggs are covered. Add half teaspoon of salt. Bring to a boil then turn off heat or remove from heat and let stand for 10 or 15 minutes in the hot water. Then drain water and wait for eggs to cool. I usually put them back in egg container while still hot, then put in fridge till cold. Mine always peel easy.

Boil water and then drop eggs carefully. It never fails. You see by adding the eggs after the water is boiling they don't break and the shell stays intact.
Let them cool off and shell will be easy to remove.
