It all depends on the person. I cant see 5 years being that big of a deal.
My Mother was married to my Step Father for 32 1/2 years, and there was a 26 year age difference . She is 64 and he was 89 when he passed away. He even had four kids form his first marriage, & three fo them are older than her !!
So like I said 6 years is no big deal.

i am a woman of 50 and my boyfriend of 9 years is 34 and we make things work by agreeing that i had to adjust and live like 42 and he will do the same by living and acting like 42, it does not always work, there will always be differences but it has become a continuous effort for both of us. I am still so much in love and i know he still is. Yours is just a 5 year gap and that really meant nothing in terms of differences. as my boyfriend keeps telling me whenever ages becomes the topic of our conversation, it is just a number. what matters is how both partners feel and how committed they are to each other into making the relationship work.

It's not a 'huge' age gap. It all depends on the two individuals as age can give you a broad glimpse into what a person is like, but it's never a concrete definition of that person. Go ahead if you like her. See if it works. No need to just back off because you're afraid it won't. Then you'll spend all your time wondering with the whole 'woulda', 'shoulda', 'coulda', stuff.

One of my best friends just turned 30 this year and his wife is 54. They have been (happily) together for 12 years. Go for it.
