It could be.
Lycanthroepy does exist, just not as we know it.
The legend of the Wolf-Man started with people who were born extremely hairy, and it is a disease. However, it doesn't spread. What it is is that hair will grow thickly all over the body, much like fur. In the dark ages, people who had the disease had cruel tests done on them- in fact, such cruel tests were done all the way into the 20th century.
It is a very viable disease, however, it is also very rare.

It's true. I don't remember the medical term, but it is a genetic disorder. Saw it on 20/20 the other night. One kid actually joined the circus as WOLFMAN. Dude looked like a wolf too.

yes there are many people who have a disorder like this that cause excessive hair growth all over their bodies.....their are brothers in Mexico who work in a sort of like circus that have this disorder and that is how they make a living......they choose not to have the hair removed for this reason....and I'm sure they don't feel the need to either or they would

Nope. People can put some sort of wax on their face and put hair on to make the illusion of facial hair. And....this has nothing to do with this section.

It is a rare genetic disorder. Very sad, they are often judged because of this.
