A man woke up in a room. There were no windows, doors, etc. There was only a tank of water(5 gallons). There were no fish in the tank and he was not a fish. He had no cellphone or any electric stuff. The tank's water was very cold. 1 year later the walls had a big crack. The wall broke down and the man went out of the room. How did he live for 1 year?

He was trapped there on night of 31st December due to some earthquake or whatever.
Rescue teams could reach him only on morning of 1st January.
So he stayed in that room for 'one year'!

There was only 5 gallons of water, but you didn't say there was no food. The water was cold, the walls is probably brick or some sort. In a completely sealed locked room, the cold temperature of the water will eventually seep through the walls causing to crack. Assuming the outside temperature is higher than inside the room, The cold water vapor pressure in condense area increases as its concentration increases. The dynamic state of the two sides in which all forces or processes are or should be in balance will cause the breakage, and hence the man gains his freedom.

Who said he lived? heres what i think
The dude wakes up in a room, he tries to survive on the water, but cant and dies after a month. About a year later someone fianly relises hes in there, cracks the wall open, and carries him out for his funeral.
