How do you pronounce it? What words does it replace? And why do people use it so much?

I ask because it confuses me alot when I see it...

It can mean you're, or your, and it means people are too lazy to write their complete words and use the grammar they learn in school.

I have seen "ur" for 'your' or 'you're".

I don't personally like that way of spelling, because it looks very awkward and illiterate. I have both hands to touch-type, so it is much easier for me to almost unconsciously type 'your' or 'you're'.

it stands for you are. i know why it confuse you it should be typed as u r, then the meaning will be clear to you. I had to learn LMAO and PLMK, LOL Another way to further corrupt the English language.
