I understand that you're upset, but lets think this through first. I'm sure she didn't lie, but rather made a mistake and forgot to give the boys a note. Lets remember she's human. I'm sure you've forgotten to give that last client a call or forgot to arranged something that was a big deal to them.
Second, do you know she forgot, or did she give it to the AID who didn't drop it off, or the teacher who forgot to give the note to the boys, or the boys who very well could have gotten the note and forgotten to get on the bus. There is a long trail of things that could have gone wrong here. You are blaming it on one person, when it could very easily not have been their fault.
Why don't you call the school and speak the office manager or principal and explain the situation, and your frustration with the system that went wrong. And lock up things that make fire. You're boys seem to like that.

You put an unfair burden on the secretary. Maybe she totally blew it, maybe she did it right and the kids didn't do what they were told. Maybe something else happened. No matter what, the kids are not her responsibility, they're yours.
Based on what you've told us, the only thing we can say about what she did is that she should NOT have said she would do anything. Trying to help you out probably violated school policy.
By the way, how did your kids get in the house?

I would go to the school board and talk to them. I don't agree with the other b/c if something comes up at the last minute you should be able to rely on the school to make sure your children gets to where they need to be. I would definately get this taken care of!!! If the school board don't get you anywhere than take it to the state. Need to make sure this don't happen again.

That's a tough one. The secretary may not have been able to do anything about it. Most public schools have regulations that require that children be dropped off at their regular bus stop. Other than that, the school's responsibility stops there.

YOU REALLY CANT....THEY HAVE MADE THE RULE FOR THE CHILDRENS SAFETY BECAUSE IN THE PAST THERE HAVE BEEN MANY INCIDENTS OF KIDNAPPING BY SOMEONE POSING AS THE SITTER......IF THE SCHOOL OFFICE DOESNT HAVE A WRITTEN AND SIGNED NOTICE OF BUS CHANGE FROM THE PARENT.... FOR THE CHILDREN, THEY ARE NOT PERMITTED TO LET THEM CHANGE BUSES... THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE COME INTO THE OFFICE AND NOTIFIED THEM....IT BACKFIRED FOR YOU....BUT ITS MEANT FOR YOUR CHILDRENS SAFETY.

Um... as a mom myself, I know we don't like our parenting criticized, but this is YOUR responsibility to work this stuff out, NOT the school secretary's.
