you can stop them from auto starting

1) click start (left bottom corner)

2) then select run .

3) type in: msconfig

4) select "start up"

5) disable all

6) apply then restart.. the programs will still be on your comp just wont load at start up

Go to "start""programs""startup"..and delete the ones you don't want there. That will not actually delete them, only move them from startup. The programs will still exist.

Hope that helps.

What Donald said, One note, Make sure you make a note of what you UN-CHECK, that way if you have a conflict with a program starting, you will have the reference to it

*go to start then to run and type in msconfig

Next screen click on startup tab

at this point you can click on the boxes that you don't want to start up when your computer comes on but beware that you don't click off somethong that you need... in other words if you don't know what it is leave it alone.

You have to delete the entries for them in your registry, but if you don't know what you're doing you can ruin your computer. I'd recommend taking it to a professional.

If you have Windows 2000, you won't have a msconfig utility. If you need it, you can download it here:
