I'm making BBQ beef in the crockpot to put on sandwiches for the big game tomorrow night. The meat will be cooking in the crockpot all day tomorrow - my question is this: Should I marinate the meat all night and then transfer everything to the crockpot tomorrow morning or should I just wait until the morning and put everything together? I guess I'm just wondering if marinating it overnight will add anything or if it will have plenty of flavor just from cooking tomorrow.

No need to marinate it if you cook it in the crock pot.

Why not? Marinating overnight will just give it more flavor. Personally, I like to use wine as a marinade. Italian or vinaigrette dressing also gives it a good taste. Then put it in the crock pot, with some BBQ sauce & a little liquid, early in the morning. Cook it all day, till it's "falling-apart" tender.

MMMM! yes I would add all your flavoring tonight and let it sit tonight! and do the final flavoring in the morning..what flavoring are you doing?? I'll give you some mouth water beef..take your beef, and add tenderizin to it then add seaning to it! such as garlic powder! not salt.. then there's onion powder to..seanonin it! are you ready for the mouth waterin part! once you did all that get hot water fill your pot that you are putting them in fill it half way so that way your meat is siting in it then you take your bbq sauce and pour it all over it and make sure you get both sides of it..then when you do that you are ready! when you cook it tomorrow slow cook it with the water and your meat will fall apart and juicy! with flavory! not to mention the smell will drive everyone crazy!..Good luck!

Marinating wouldn't hurt it by any means, but because you're going to have it in a crock pot for a long time, it's probably not needed
