you can always go to
"START" button, click on it.
Then, click on the button "All Programs".
Followed by "Accessories", and the button"System Tools".
Lastly, click on the button "Character map"
There, you will see loads of symbols and the spanish mark which you are looking for.

I assume you want to do that while typing a document using a wordprocessing software program. For example, you may want to change the n for the word Nina in the sentence "Columbus' ships were named the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria."
To do that, access the document, place your cursor next to the n in the word Nina, click on the Insert icon at the top of your document screen, then click on the Symbols icon. When the Symbols window pops up, click on the icon that allows you to see the selections, and click on Multinational. When the Multinational windo pops up, scroll down to the letter n with the little symbol above it. Then highlight it and then click on the "instert and close" choice. The letter with the little symbol will be inserted in your document and the symbols window will close.
That's how it's done with Wordperfect. In Windows Word, I'm sure it's very simillar.
If you are trying to program your keyboard so that it always prints that kind of n, well, I can't help you with that.

Press the Alt key and hold it down. Now type 0241 on the keypad. When you release the Alt key, the ñ will appear like magic ;)
And DON'T forget the 0 in front of 241, it's part of the sequence.
And if you need á, é, Ã, ó, or ú, hold down the Alt key and type 0225, 0233, 0237, 0243, or 0250
NOTE: Bookish gave you the wrong Alt number. It's 0241
Alt-164 is ¤, Alt-165 is ¥
