I'm more than willing to change a lane, slow down, exit the highway, make a turn, anything to get out of the way of a police patrol unit especially if he's going fast. Because if it's not me that he's trying to catch up to, then he can do whatever he wants to. Just leave me alone. Go pick on some other fool with a burned out headlight or made a right turn without his indicator light on. It's really uncomfortable when they just keep cruising exactly the limit with the rest of traffic block after block making everyone nervous wondering who he's going to choose. I don't know where you live, but in Los Angeles you don't care what the police are doing as long as they aren't doing it to you or your family.

How a lot over the speed minimize replaced into he driving? possibly your speedometer is off, and also you've been going lower than the speed minimize (i know mine is off about 4 MPH, and if I stress what my speedometer says is the speed minimize, i'm honestly going lower than). possibly he replaced into responding to a decision? possibly he basically had to (and also you're loose to make a grievance if it is the case - call your community state police place of work and supplies them the id from the vehicle). or perhaps you're basically this kind of people that favor to discover any issues they can with the police because you imagine all police are corrupt. And, for sure, you may want to in no way imagine of calling them in case you mandatory help because your youthful daughter is lacking or your spouse replaced into killed, might want to you?

I have had them behind me and they flash there lights (not the ones on the top) and i have gone 20 miles over the speed limit to get to were i can get out of their way and have gotten the thumbs up LOL People slow way down when the see the police and they to are in a hurry...Plus they maybe not be going code three but still going to a call. But they are suppose to follow all the rules just as civilians are, so if caught and someone wants to be a butt they can get in trouble......Whos going to do it tho.....

I've cruised faster than the speed limit in front of cops before and haven't been pulled over. They generally only pull you over if you're going really fast, like 10+ over, and I doubt he was doing more than that?

Police can actually drive faster than us as they have a general exemption whilst on duty from the traffic act. As long as it is safe and can give a good reason in doing so. Other than that if caught on a speed camera that have to justify why they were speeding.

Can't you report this to a police hotline? I had a friend who lived in Greenwich, CT and he said cops always followed the laws in the rich areas.

They are actually supposed to do the speed limit too unless they're in route to a scene, but who's going to stop them. So the answer to your question is there is nobody policing the police.

Because police generally ignore the same minor laws that most other people do. Most people speed. So do police. The only difference is that police won't get in trouble for it.

They are trying to get the to the fresh batch of doughnuts while they are still warm at Dunkin' Doughnuts and are therefore exempted from the speed limit laws.

Actually it helps the flow of traffic. If they drove the speed limit...it would result in gridlock. Thank the boys in blue for speeding.
