Besides just typing alt +0241 there is a way for you to get all of the characters and their codes.
Go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools, character map. Select the one that you want. Click copy. Then you can paste it into the document. Also, when you click select the number code appears at the bottom of the screen.

well i dont know what manana means, but go to a spanish english dictionary and type in what manana means in english. When you get the translation, there should be the ~ above the n. Copy the word.

Press the Alt key and hold it down. Now type 0241 on the keypad. When you release the Alt key, the ñ will appear like magic ;)
And DON'T forget the 0 in front of 241, it's part of the sequence.
And if you need á, é, Ã, ó, or ú, hold down the Alt key and type 0225, 0233, 0237, 0243, or 0250
