I'm the same way. Tell her you are more comfy wearing nothing.

My husband yells at me all the time for not wearing shoes, Even my kids hate shoes. I find myself wearing quick shoes (I call them)
Anything that can go on and off quickly. Yes there can be health issues and protection issues. I just can't stand shoes. It's not the time off putting them on or off it a comfort thing. I wear them when I seriously have to. I have been doing this for as long as I can remeber. Even when I was at school I take my shoes off and cross my legs in the desks.( moccasins are great shoe just a little coverage (many styles to choose from) I like the soleless they are the closes to the floor. Good Luck! I'm 41 and family still yell at me.

That is kinda strange, I grew up not wearing shoes half the time, I mean I still hardly wear shoes now. It's weird she would want to you wear shoes inside considering the fact that shoes make the floor dirty. Maybe she has a secret foot phobeia, or it could be her way of controling you, without seeming over bearing.

After properly over ten years of going barefoot i presumed i could heard all the myths, yet this one is a sparkling one! No, you will no longer have any difficulty conceiving in case you circulate barefoot. Btw, the different issues named in this thread, like fallen arches, are not actual the two; see source. and you'd be extra liable to colds provided that your *center* temperature drops; keep something of your physique heat and you will not extra get a chilly from bare ft than from bare hands. Going barefoot is quite healthy!

I was the same way once. It's got to do with picking up all sorts of germs and stuff, like if somebody spit a big snot honker on the sidewalk. Even though the honker might have dried up, the bacteria is still there, and it could get on your feet. It's a gross example, I agree, but it does have some sense to it.

Always wear shoes or sandals/flip-flops outdoors to protect your feet.
In the house, keep a clean pair of flip-flops inside the front door and use them in the house.
Maybe she doesn't want fyour feet perspiring on the carpet or something.

I'm the same way I can't stand having something on my feet, Don't worry when you are older you can walk around bare foot all you want...with no one to yell at you. Moms are strange she might know of some weird superstition that she believes in or something...

Lots of problems! I'm an RN, and she may be worried about a simple cold, a fungal infection (athlete's foot), stepping on glass and getting cut, stepping on a nail and getting tetanus, etc... Wear some flip flops or something if you're going out.... Better safe than sorry!

This is not a subject that is important enough to fight with anyone over. Just let it go, wear shoes, do good in school, get a good job, move out and go barefoot all you want!

Ask her. I'm the same way. I never wear shoes. My grandma used to say things about it. She thought I would catch a cold.

shes doesnt want you to step on something and get hurt. like a nail or something. I used to always walk around with no shoes on but i kept finding my feet hurting all the time and always complaining about how much it hurt. so i started to just get those slip on tenashoes. that way it dont take exstra time. You just slip them on.
