I don't mean like you live and die. I believe after you die you go to heaven. I mean like every second (mili-second, maybe less) of your life is a memory, right? So isn't life before heaven just memories? And how do we know we're not just memories ourselves being remembered by ourselves. HAHA This is a weird theory that I made up.

I don't think you would have memories without a body, I'm theorizing that maybe we're already dying and we're all just memories being remembered. How do you know for sure? And again, it's just a dumb theory I came up with in 5 minutes.

You know, I've askd myself the same question, so I can imagine the headache you gave ourself.

It is a possiblity, the way I see it, that we are all just memories of ourselves- after all, if what we see when we look into the night sky is actually the past ( and it is- it takes the light from the stars thousands of years to reach us here on Earth), then that presents the possibility that all those stars have already gone suprnova, and that we are just a remnant- that really, our star has already done the same! of course, taht's just my crazy theory. Maybe we could talk more- maybe we both have similar theories on several things.

This life on earth is our first life. The one in heaven is our second. Some people do not have the oppertunity to have a second life. Some are thrown into the lake of fire.

Life is not only memories but more of actions-coz at every step one is acting upon his body-moving,eating, walking, etc. And when a person dies, whatever memories he has wil take him to that state after death !

It's similar to the question Rene Descartes (philosopher best known for " I think therefore I am") asked himself. I encourage you to read his seminal treatise on the subject, surprisingly quite brief. The method. In it he goes on to deduce the existence of his own soul and then to that of God. Very, very interesting how you seem to have wrestled with this question so similarly.
