what was he like in he teens and twenties, and since the Old Testement tells us of a vengeful God, such as written in 1 Samuel, is it possible the Son of God grew up the same way, sort of a hellraiser sowing his Holy Oats, racing camels, pillaging villages and generally doing other things a teenager with unlimited power might do on the weekend? Is that information hidden at the Vatican?

Was the the Family Jewish business converted to Christianity because Jesus was just so Good at the smiting and turning to stone, that in order to maintain the Family's growth in the religion market, something had to be done to keep the temple goers coming back, instead of worrying all the time about becoming a lawn ornament. Was Christianity a Holy Marketing Ploy? Did Jesus ever skip classes to hang out behind the Acropolis smoking herb? Did Jesus ever have to stay after school for cracking jokes when he was bored because he was God and already knew everything?

I'm not questioning God's will here. Merely seeking answers to questions which may have plagued others for thousands of years. Then again, maybe they didn't and if I myself am smote tonight, then maybe it was for some other reason if not this question.

My vote is that you were "smote" tonight. Whatever that means.

There is a school of thought that he trekked overland - maybe he rode a camel or donkey, who knows? - to the Orient and studied philosophy there. There are many similarities between Buddhism, Christianity, Muslims and other lesser far East religions. As a matter of fact, many of them say the same thing that Jesus is quoted as saying and some of those religions are older than Christianity. Coincidence? Given the fact they didn't have telephones or fast modes of communication in those days, unlikely. So, its highly possible he studied other philosophies in the Orient.

Actually, the gospels only account for about 3 weeks of Jesus' life... not counting the 40 days he supposedly spent alone, in the wilderness. Another good reason in support of the idea that Jesus was entirely fictional character.

Too funny. You ought to write for SNL.

He would turn people into lepers when he drank too much wine.

He get stoned eating lotus pedals and tell Joseph, " You're not my real dad. I am my own father!" Joseph would pummel him with a wood plane and sandal him in the nuts.

There is a record. Jesus was talking with elders in the temple when he was twelve. When Mary and Joseph found him, after having been worried, he asked why they were worried, did they not know that he was in his Father's house?

He was faithful at twelve. Not a hellraiser.

He fled to India and was studying under the Brahmans with the guidence of John the Baptist - that is how John was considerd Jesus Guru ... and Jesus's teachings are close to Hinduism.

There's no record of his formative years because the gospels were created from second or third hand accounts.
