Elana- Learn what it means to obey laws. Americans have rights, too. One of our rights is the right to have our laws enforced. Those laws are being enforced and illegal immigrants are being deported more and more every daym. You will be next. You are either illegally here or a traitor to your country. You should be shot between the eyes. My Glock stays loaded, come fu(k with me face to face you coward bytch!!

Elena- It had nothing to do with 'Barry Goldwater'. I said scroll DOWN about 2/3 of the PAGE to the story. You REALLY need to go back to school, it was wasted on you the first time...Throwing out the race card and calling people xenophobes is so typical of the illegal invaders to OUR country and their supporters. They are traitors to the United States of AMERICA, YOU.

if your problem is that they're illegal, fix it by giving amnesty.
if your problem is that they're Mexican, you are like every other xenophobe who feared the unwashed masses...and was wrong...because immigrants built this nation and made it great. Now it's the Mexican's turn to make a contribution to the greatness of America.

You REALLY need to read "State of Emergency". It lays out what's happening and going to happen to this country in 40 years if this isn't stopped. It addresses every single issue relating to illegals invading our country. It doesn't look good for us or our children whatsoever!!

Oh to answer what the girl under me put regarding calling u a xenophobe. Wow how ignorant to use that or the racism card when a country's citizens just want to protect it's borders which is outlined in the Constitution of the United State of America. Wow what a dumbass idiot. Well there's lots of them on here ccause they aren't 100% educated on this subject.

It's scary to think about. That's what bothers me so. The America that we love being no longer what we will remember her to be. I totally agree with you. We, as Americans, need to stick together and get these criminals out of here. I think we all know what it will be if they keep infesting our country. It won't be good. It will be a lot of things, none of it good.

Elena, you obviously don't realize how serious this problem is. Maybe it hasn't become so overwhelming in your state. It is very bad in some places.

Let's let my cousins on the RESERVATIONS speak about the immigration. You should ask a silly question....It was already answered when it was invaded and its natives slaughtered....

I think I have my own opinion where we are headed and I don't have to read any web page to know .If our gov. would obey the laws already on the books we wouldn't be where we are now

The ignorance and apathy of those like Elana are incomprehensible.

What? You do realize this has been a problem for decades, right? They didn't just start coming here, they've been coming and have been living here for a long time. But, I volunteer you to pick my strawberries for 10 cents an hour when they all get deported, okay?

2006-09-08 16:58:13 · answer #7 · answered by Anonymous · 2 3

Lets deport the illegals here since 1492. White people are the only people that invade people's land and then have the balls to say get out of "my" land since we "discovered" it. You rednecks fall for all the slogans that the Bush repeats over and over.

Why, oh why are we quoting Barry Goldwater? He was obsolete
when he was alive! Yes, I know that isn't exactly where you
pointed us, but the entire collection of articles is a throw-back
to the pre-nixon "why can't we all be white" days.

Panic! Panic! Oh my God! Panic!

The Russians are coming, the Russians are ...

Oops - sorry, I'm off by 40 years. I hate it when that happens.

We are the richest country in the world. We have more than anybody
else - What makes you think we deserve it? Of course they want to
be here, and of course there are people here who would rather we
kept all the riches and let 'em stay poor.

Yes, I'd like to keep the terrorists out, and the murderers, and the
thiefs, and the rapists and the ... and the ...

However, that's not what you're talking about, are you? You're talking
about Jose Q. Publique, desperate for a better life.

We have an economy that (at least comparitively) works. They
don't. Do they deserve to starve?

Would you personally consign them to that? What are the full
implications of what you are asking FOR THEM? Its easy to think
about how our lives might get worse. How about what their lives
are now?

Put yourself in their shoes - and learn the meaning of the word
"Xenophobe". Xenophobe does not mean racist. It means
fear of foreigners or strangers. Yes, many people
are racist and xenophobic, but they don't mean the same thing.

No, it isn't apathy - I care a great deal. Indeed, I have thought about
this issue, probably longer than many on this list have been alive. I
don't believe its ignorance either - I've spent a lot of time overseas
and elsewhere on this continent and I know how people view the US - and I know where we have done well, and where we have done poorly.

You know what it is? Its called "empathy." It doesn't matter
that I am caucasion (white), an American citizen and work
for my supper.

I have *NO* interest in protecting US citizens over other people
in the world. All of the "protecting our borders" stuff I've seen so
far here basically comes down to "how do we keep what we've
got away from others..."

That's not to say that there isn't legitimate fear of criminals,
terrorists, etc - but that's not what you're talking about and
it would apply equally to the Canadian border as to the Mexican
one.

To me, it would be like the people in New York trying to prevent
people from New Jersey from moving there. What's the difference?

The ONLY difference that I can see is that the Mexican
American crossing is not legal where we enjoy the ability to cross
state lines without impediment. Oh yeah ... and the quality of
life in New York and the quality of life in New Jersey is not so
different that New Jersey's citizens are putting themselves in
shipping containers that spend over a month at sea to get to
New York.

We don't know how good we have it.

I absolutely understand that the quality of life for the average
American will suffer, dramatically, even, as people pour through
our borders. I absolutely understand that our forefathers empowered
us to keep out the riff raff.

I say this fully comprehending that my life and the lives of most of
the people reading this list will get substantially and measurably worse.

I say this because I have a glimmering of how bad the lives of these
people sacraficing everything to get here are.

There are only 300 million of us - why do WE deserve to have things
so much better than most of the rest of the 6 billion on the planet?

People have called me ignorant, apathetic, etc, but I have yet to
see one person tell me that they are looking at the picture from
any other point of view than of an entitled American.

Again, I say that people who think that they and those like them are
entitled to the riches of this country and the others should starve
are simply practicing a naive form of xenophobia.

Many will simply DIE. I promise you - you won't hear about it on
the 6 o'clock news.

For everyone who says "Elana, you simply don't understand how
big the problem is...", I say that YOU don't understand the problem
because you are seeing it strictly from within our borders.

Have you seen people dying from drinking water polluted with their
own filth? Rarely in this country. How about people dying of
diseased from "food" obtained from the local land fill because there
was none other available?

In short - don't play the "I've seen more than you"... 'cause you
haven't.

We do not know how good we have it.

As for the concept of being a "law abiding American citizen", the
majority of our violent crimes are being commited by American
citizens and we have the highest violent crime rate in the world
(excepting those countries suffering with terrorism).

And to the guy threatening me with a glock ... I'm guessing by
people like you who think that violence is a viable answer.
Clearly you think about Americans before you think about
other people. You have said it in several different ways.
That's great - its already the tip of xenophobia. You call it
Patriotism, I call it Nationalism - and yes, its the border with
xenophobia.

The fact that its the guy threatening me with a glock is
also the guy talking about "law abiding citizens" should be
aware that criminal threatening is (wait for it): Illegal. That is, on
its very face, he is no longer in the set of "law abiding citizens."
He is also pretty clearly trying to prevent me from expressing
my opinion, ala the 1st amendment. Care to try again?

Its very quickly becoming "us against them", as it clearly already
has for you (and the writer of the article that we were to
scroll down to).

Before you tell me how naive I am being about what it will do to
America (and I am not): When was the last time you didn't eat
for 2 days? If you haven't ever experienced that, or at least seen
it - YOU DON'T KNOW.

You are willing to let someone starve because they don't come
from here. Its that simple. You are willing to turn your back
on your fellow man to protect your ideal of what this country
is.

OK, well, if you feel that way about your country, how about
your state? Your city? How about people on your block?
How about the people that you know... Lets try to look at
the entire problem - RATIONALLY.

Do not threaten my life, do not swear at me, and do not
say over and over that I am not being reasonable. I am simply
looking at things from a larger point of view than you are.
That is, I'm looking at the whole planet, and I think you're just
looking in this country.

Its a hard choice - to protect someone you haven't met and
knowingly take food off your own table to do it. However,
that's what empathy is all about. If you don't have it, you
don't have it.

Can you possibly imagine what it is like to be one of ... them?
One of these 5 legged alien types you think will destroy
America? Can you open your eyes up just that much?

Can you try?

Usually the imposter is on level one but I noticed that they were on level 4 the other night, which indicates to me that there are obviously more people involved. I have an idea who they are but I am really tired of these morons harassing me and stalking me online. There are laws against that but they don't care about that. Typical criminal behavior. I'm also tired of people expecting me to respect the ones who are doing this, making up lies, invading my privacy, making fun of the fact that I have made some accomplishments in poetry and making up poetry that I DON'T WRITE and posting it and other people believe it. I have my opinions, like everyone else and I am entitled to them. Here's how it works: if you respect me, I will respect you. As far as the "nasty e-mails", I send them when they are sent to me. I give what I get. It's very simple. By the way, the people who are saying that the writing stuff is a sham, it may have been for some. Depends on where you go but obviously, they are just making a pathetic attempt to tear down what I have done and this doesn't belong in the immigration forum. I had a lot of good luck with my writing but a lot of things, like blogs, they stole off of my 360 page. Imagine how you would feel if someone were STALKING you this way....I am very tired of it and if it is viewed as "making fun" of them, I think that's far better than making up LIES about abortions and trying to humiliate one simply because they have a different view.
