Your female cockatiel is just laying eggs, leave them there or else she'll just lay more and deplete her calcium.
Cockatiels are in the family: Cacatuidae
Conures are in the family : Psittacidae
So unless there is a miracle happening somewhere, I wouldn't worry.

It is more likely the female cockatiel produced an infertile egg by herself. Every now and then they just lay an egg but it doesn't hatch. If the cockatiel and the conure did mate it still wouldn't produce a fertile egg because they have too many characteristics that are different and are different species.

Your female cockatiel can produce an egg regardless, it doesn't have to be fertilized. it's just a thing they do, my sis in law has a bird that lays eggs all the time without a male. It's freaky but it happens with birds. It will not become a baby bird unless fertilized by a male cockatiel.

Any poultry may well be what you like. besides the fact that all of it starts off with age of poultry, expierences of poultry and proprietor, and timing. this is actual that a cockatiel is a dander preened poultry. And confident this does result alergies. I even have by no skill owned a Quaker so i'm no longer able to remark approximately it. Conures.........properly they have much less dander yet are very noisey and may well be repetitive. they are the main abused birds in captivity. yet all returned may well be a dream poultry. it is all approximately what you placed into possessing a poultry, what you comprehend approximately birds, and what your poultry has been by in the previous your possession. The question is, in case you do each thing maximum suitable, and by some skill issues come out incorrect, will you nevertheless love the poultry?

When a female bird is attracted to a male bird, she will release her eggs regardless of fertilization. She could never make a baby with your conure. However, if you haven't seen them have sex, and have no reason to believe that they're romantically pairing off, it's just as likely that your bird loves you or another member in your house, or just feels to safe and secure that this is the time in her life she wants to make her babies.

Offer her lots of calcium to keep her safe from egg binding (painful and dangerous to her): cuttlebone, calcium block, vitamin supplement. To encourage her to stop laying, restrict her light exposure to 11 hours a day of light, and 13 hours a day of complete darkness: covered, or in a dark room, with as little sound as possible. This could convince her that the days are growing shorter and she should stop laying eggs, because fall and winter are approaching.

How do YOU feel about that? The little fellow is going to be of mixed race. Will it be shunned by both the cockatiel and green cheek conure communities? Will you have pangs of guilt, if the bird develops psychological problems, and ultimately commits suicide, because you were neglectful in supervising its parents? Remorseful, are we? Hmmmmm, I thought so.

Just because your bird layed eggs, does not mean that the eggs are fertile and will hatch. My cockatiel layed 5 eggs ... and she lives alone!

Never heard of it, but who knows....

Are you sure the egg contains a fetus? Perhaps it's unfertilized.... If you hold the egg up to a light you should be able to see if there's a baby in it.

Hope this helps!
