can dogs take valerian, st johns wort, etc?

My dog had surgury on ear and I treated him for pain with asa but he is quite anxious so I wondered if the valerian I have would work on him.

yes it will work . dose by weight. we used it on our hourse on shipping days until she quit freaking out in trailers. it will calm the dog. good idea too. what kind of ear surgery?

why would you want to risk your dogs health on unproven herbs for humans??
many can be toxic to animals.. call the vet.
