my faith is slowly slipping away from God because its like sometimes i feel like well hey.God Chose the Jews as his chosen people. My boyfriend(whom is a hindu (vicenova howeva you spell it) pointed it out to me. I'm trying my best to regain my faith but I don't know what to do. I mean I have no intrest in being in any other religion or practicing any other faiths but its just that I feel as though I'm not good enough for God because I'm not Jewish. Like Im not recognized. You know wit Jesus being a Jew and All. Its strange but its like I think Jesus loves everyone(all races) but its lie God holds the Jews up higher than other people. I know its wrong to think this which is why im asken for help.

Any suggestions or help to improve my relationship with Jesus and God.

The Lord did not choose you and lavish his love on you because you were larger or greater than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations! - Deut 7

You see God chose Israel to show that he can take something small and make it great. Like the story of the mustard seed

First of all, why do you imply in your question that there is a separation between Jesus and God. Jesus Christ IS God! He is God who became incarnate and took on human nature, except without sin, to live among human beings, and to die and be resurrected for them - for all human beings. As St. Paul says, there is no Jew, no Greek, no male, no female in Christ Jesus. So if you believe that Jesus loves all races and all people, how can you believe differently about God - they are One and the Same.

Secondly, this whole thing about the "Jews" being the chosen people is terribly misunderstood. I would really like someone to show me where it says in the Bible that the "Jews" are the chosen people. It says that "Israel" is God's chosen people. And what is "Israel"? Certainly not the modern state located in the Middle East. It is God's people - the Church - made up of all believers of all times, everywhere. There is no race in "Israel". It is the congregation of the children of Abraham, who are all those who believe in the Living God and in His Son, Jesus Christ. If you don't want to take my word for it, read your Bible. Read the account of John the Baptist, who said that God could raise up children to Abraham from the very stones. Would those children be "Jews" if they came from stones? The point is, the "chosen people" is God's holy nation - all the believers from the beginning of time until today and all those who will ever come after us. The Jews may have a place of honor because they were the first nation to believe and follow Him - but a place of honor at the wedding banquet of the King (Christ) does not mean that all the others are not beloved and not sitting at the same table.

I hope these few things give you some food for thought. Don't let the trickery of the evil one weaken your faith. But most importantly, learn more about the Christian faith so that you can be firmly established in it - especially when it comes to thinking that Jesus and God are separate and can have separate wills and separate feelings towards people and the human race. This kind of misunderstanding can be very harmful to your faith.

OK...look at it this way..the jews are God's chosen ppl but, the jews will actually be left behind in Christ's second coming because they don't believe that Jesus was already here. Revelations states that 144,000 jews will flee to the mountains to escape from the antichrist. They will actually at some point believe in him until he makes the statue turn real. Then they will know that he is fake. It is so unreal..do you know that you can't even say the name Jesus in Israel? How crappy is that...You need to read the book of revelations and if you don't understand it..pick up the "Left Behind" books by Jenkins and Lashay. They are fiction but it is based on what is going to happen if you are left behind. The ppl are not real and where they live but what is happening in the book is...it explains revelations more better and if you don't like reading ..rent the videos...I hope I was helpful. Remember this, God will never leave you, you are a child of God. Even when we don't think he is there and we feel so alone..he is holding our hand. You need to start praying more and going to church at every opportunity that you have. I am not sure what religion you are but I am pentecostal holiness and one thing that I know that I could not live without is the holy ghost...pray to God for this gift and he will give it to you. He said "ask and ye shall receive" !! God Bless You!

You're a little confused about a couple of things...let's straighten them out. Firstly, although the Jews are the "chosen people" of God...they rejected God's son when He walked the earth! Therefore, the gospel was given to the gentiles. Those are non-Jewish people. God will deal with Israel again one day....but there is no way to heaven or salvation other than belief in Jesus Christ, and that is so for Jewish people as well. If you are a believer in Christ, you are saved. The bible says "in Christ there is jew nor greek, male nor female, slave nor free". So you are mistaken; God does not hold up any Jewish people over you....a believer in His son.

The most important thing is this: find a good bible teaching church and get into bible study. One of the reasons you are flailing around is because you do not know God's word. It's like air and water.....we absolutely HAVE to know His word.

May God bless you and lead you to His truth.

I hope that I can help you and the you are encouraged by every answer you recieve. The Jews are God's "chosen" people. That is true, but once Jesus came and died on the cross, and if you have accepted Him into your life which it sounds like you have, then you are a part of his family. God loves all His children, He loves everyone in the world. God does not show favortism, he is not a respecter of persons, what is good for you is good for me and vice versa. Don't loose faith, but I would encourage you to really re think your relationship with your boyfriend, God does not want us to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Maybe God is trying to get your attention!

pray with a deep desire to have a closer relationship with him. it's like wanting to feel closer to your spouse: you need to spend time together and communicate. have these intimate prayer moments at least once a day, depending on how badly you want to be in touch with your faith. tell him you really want him to show himself to you, and He will. cry out to Him.

get into the bible and really study it daily to get all the info and guidance you can out of it. read it cover to cover, perhaps getting a chart that shows you how to read through the Bible in a year. meet with fellow believers and spend time studying and praying together.

Jesus was a Jew, but the Jews basicly rejected Him as their chosen Messiah. So God was back to square one. While Jews are protected as God's first choice and owners of the promised land (which Muslim Arabs want to take over), according to the New Testement, all Christians are equal.

Jesus Himself said that He's the Way, Truth, and Life, and nobody can access God except through Jesus. Being Jewish doesn't take that away. If you trust in Him, that's all you need.

Jesus was Jewish, but with his death, he made a new covenant with his followers that all they had to do was believe in him and they would enter the kingdom of heaven. Jews simply don't believe Jesus was the son of God, which is the foundation of Christianity. I suggest surrounding yourself with Christians and believers that can help you find your faith again. Jesus wants to be in your heart and give you peace like you can't imagine, you just have to invite him in.

John 3:16 didn't say only Jewish believers received eternal life. Matthew 7:21 didn't say Jewish believers who live good lives enter the kingdom of heaven - but all who believe and live a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

Do not allow others to influence your decision in life. If you simply do this, as it is written. (Meditate) it will become clear to.

Jesus made it simple, so everyone could understand the words. It does not matter that you are not a Jew. If you only a faith the size of a mustard seed, is all that he asked for us.

A simple task, don't you think.

God is no respecter of persons. He loves all his children. The Jews were the chosen people, but you could say when we get saved we become a jew as we are born again into the family of God.Not all Jews are saved, they too must be born again and believe that Christ died for our sins and is the Son of God.
