i've heard this phrase before and i've heard many people say that you must "show and prove loyality to the US".

What exactly does this mean?
How exactly do you show your loyalty to the US and what do you to prove it?

If people don't set out and try to prove their loyalty to the US, and even if they are born here, do you think they deserve to be here?

Loyalty to the ideals that the country was founded upon, and support for its highest laws. In the US, that means the Constitution.

A loyal American defends the ideals and goals of the Constitution, and stands against any enemy would would betray those values. All enemies, foreign and domestic.

Ones loyalty to country usually means doing what is best for the citizens of that country first and foremost. To follow laws. To be ready to defend any harm that might come to them in anyway. To keep order. To do whats uppermost important for the well being of its people and resources. Always keeping its citizens in mind before others.
Yes the children of our Forefathers defended those rights and passed it down to their children rather they deserve it or not--it is an inheritance. So they do.

Loyalty = stand by the country and her leaders even if it means you loose something of importance to you. Putting the country before yourself.

Not comming here illegally, following the law, doing what is right for the whole as opposed to what you think is right for you!

Ask the family of a fallen soldier what it means to be loyal to their country..........

I was not born in the US, I try as hard as I can to show my loyalty to the US by making the life of my fellow citizens better in every way I can. I put special interest in making all the women I meet as happy as I possibly can, I never stop until they are completely satisfied.

THIS IS LOYALTY!

To me, being loyal to a country is respecting it's people, history, and customs. The most disrespectful thing that someone can do is to come into a country, take advantage of everything it has to offer, then choose to complain about it.

If you disagree with the President, loyalty is opposition but stopping politics at the water's edge. If you agree, then loyalty is supporting his policies.

I served in air force for 4 years , one year of it during gulf war. loyalty to the us is renouncing your former country and willingness to fight for this one. If your here and still call yourself a Mexican and not a American you don't belong here.

In general, it means to defend your nation against all enemies, foreign and domestic. More specifically, it means upholding our nation's traditional, Biblical virtues (the spirit of the Constitution).
But really, if you need to ask then you will never know.
