Start over, and reenter your id and password. That works for me.

Well, there could be a lot of reasons..

have you ever given your password to anyone else? Or have you logged in from any other place apart from your house/workplace(cyber cafes etc etc) where there could have been key logging softwares? if so they could have hacked in and changed the password.

or else, most email service providers delete unused accounts if they are not used for a specific period of time, like say 45 days or 3 months, like that.

Or did you have your caps lock on when you were entering the id/pass ? if not/so try it with caps lock on/off and retype everything. (this is the place where most people, including me make, mistakes :P )

Check all these.

Try the Password recovery things , they'll ask you to give the info you gave when creating that email id and then they'll give you a password if it matches .

Check to make sure you don't have the Cap Lock on and that you are entering your ID and password correctly (type slowly), because you might be having a problem with one key.

If that doesn't solve the problem you can always contact Yahoo at the link below for help.

Keep in mind the email address you put will have to be the alternate one you used when you created your account. If you no longer have that account hopefully you have kept your information up to date, or they might be able to help you by asking you your secret word/phrase.

you probably didnt do something write, like for example you might have caps lock on and you had lowercase letters in your id. when you was signing up (they have codes you can use just in case you forget the 2) like security questions they asked. You might just have to go to the questions that people ask yahoo to find something out. Then again your time could have expired for some reason cuz datz a lot of years.
