why rent? go to the USDA - Rural Housing Development ( Yes its the same one's that stamp the beef) for help in buying a house. I built a brand new 3 bedroom 2 full baths house on 1 acre of land 9 years ago through them. Its for low income families, but you have to ahve either good credit or a very good reason for bad credit. My house payment is $253.00 a month (ins. & property taxes included) and all I had to have upfront was $800.00 plus get my own power turned on. They get their budget for the next year in Oct. so now is the time to get on the list because they only take a limited # of applications a year and it goes on necessity not the order in which you got on list.
