I agree. Japanese. The Japanese Americans are also a politically powerful group in Hawaii--they hold offices in every aspect of local/state government, especially in Oahu.
Due to the high percentage of Japanese tourists, most service people (store owners, sales clerks, bus drivers, etc) can speak some Japanese.
