Good question. Of course I do assume your facts are straight.

There are many views on this and you will find the most outspoken are the ones who do believe in the trinity. That view is the foundation of most religions.

One consideration is Mr Edison is called the Father of electricity but he did not create electricity. He just discovered how to use it. My God an Father created electricity.

Jesus by some is sen as the father of our salvation for He did come here and explain it to us clearly and did explain the deep meanings of the words in the bible. He was guided of course by the spirit of His Father and my Father, His God and My God.

I personally do not think that Jesus should be seen or listed as the fathe in covenants or doctrines for he said we have but 1 Father and to call no man Father. Now many will twist that to suit their doctrines and so be it OK.

You just ask to be shown the constantly consistent truth and do keep up your studies and you will find it for the promise is to seek and you will find OK. Do believe that promise.

That is because there is no god. Let me repeat - THERE IS NO GOD. THERE IS NO GOD. There.... now what was the question again? You people who believe in voodoo...god...smurfs....fairies...etc... are sooooooooooo stupid. That's like me believing in cinderella or the seven dwarfs. Grow up and face the world. Stop listening to what your mommies told you when you were a child about angels and fairies! THERE IS NO GOD. These questions are mere childish arguments that waste time about nothing, about something that isn't even real. But, if you really want to know why some people believe it is the same person it is because it is a BELIEF! Do you understand? Do you understand what a BELIEF is? A belief is something you THINK is true. It may or may not have any proof. It is like why do i like pizza? BECAUSE I DO GOD DAMN IT! I can't really explain why some people do and some don't? It is a BELIEF! doesn't need proof. Like you don't deserve an answer.

i'm a Christian interior the Reformed (Protestant) custom and that i've got faith that there is just one Being who on my own is God, who subsists in 3 persons. however the understanding 'individual' isn't understood immediately comparable to it replaced into while utilized with the help of the early Church Fathers to describe the daddy, the Son and the Holy Spirit. interior the 1st few hundred years of the hot Church, the Gnostics (who have been by no skill Christians) became fascinated and tried to deliver Gnostic concepts into the church. yet they denied that Jesus might have been particularly human. The apostles wrote to warn approximately this denial of who Christ rather replaced into. Then others pronounced that the daddy, the Son and the Spirit have been purely distinctive names for an identical individual (this replaced into called Modalism). around a hundred and sixty-220 A.D. the early Church Father, Tertullian, dealt with such issues. He uncovered the thought the daddy Himself descended into the virgin to strengthen into His very own Son. He stated the Trinity, "The unity which derives the Trinity from its very own self is thus faraway from being destroyed that it rather is actual supported with the help of it." His concept of the Trinity did no longer propose 3-ness. He meant 3-in-one. "those 3 are one in essence, no longer in individual." regrettably, the Latin be conscious for 'individual' replaced into insufficient, fairly while (later) 'character' got here to point fantastically much a individual. Tertullian does not have needed the understanding individual understood in that way. while he stated that there have been 3 persons interior the Godhead he did no longer propose that there have been 3 separate divine beings. yet Jesus isn't the daddy, the daddy isn't the Son, and the Holy Spirit is neither Father nor Son. yet there may be no God without one or 2 of those persons! each little thing of God is previous something we are in a position to conceive of or think of, yet we are in a position to get a 'guard' on the biblical descriptions of the daddy, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. as quickly as we placed all the information jointly, we see that Jesus on earth replaced into praying to the daddy in heaven, with the Holy Spirit being their circulate-between. Witness Jesus' baptism, or the transfiguration.

I don't recall any verses in the D&C that refer to Jesus as Our Father...

for others: We believe that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are three distinct and separate beings.. Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus standing side by side.

Why did Jesus say "Before Abraham was I AM" if Jesus was not the same as the Father in some significant way. Remember, God is one (Deut 6:4).

Why did Jesus say "He who has seen me has seen the Father"? Wouldn't this be blasphemy deserving of immediate stoning if Jesus were a separate being?

Jesus IS God, God is Jesus, the Holy Spirit is Jesus, the Holy Spirit is God.

The Trinity is three unique individuals in the same being.

Which section in D&C? Was this brought up in a class (seminary, Sunday School, etc) ? That's a good time to raise your hand and question it!
