Ramos and Compean are facing up to 20 years in prison for their role in the shooting of Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila, who ran away from the agents after trying to enter the United States from Mexico with a van load of marijuana. Aldrete-Davila was not seriously wounded in the shooting.
"We're calling on Congress to put the office of Border Patrol on trial," Ramirez said. "You clearly have managers who are ordering Border Patrol agents to stand down and not stop illegal immigrants or dope smugglers."

WTF!! I am so sick of illegals damaging my community the real shame is the trial should be about how to do it more tactfully.... They resisted, they got shot, they had drugs what is the problem???

I am heartened to know that these men may get their day of true justice...I believe that if and when they get to bring all this out in the light of day...before the American people, then they may get the justice they deserve and the illegal will get the punishment he deserves.
Frankly, I'm appalled by the whole matter. Sacrificing our men, tying their hands...and kowtowing to the criminal.
Americans are furious over the blatant denial of truths and the vile embracing of evil....
These men should be exonerated and hailed as hero's.....
The illegal should be drawn and quartered as an example to all the other drug-running scum from mehhico.

Our Congress is great at investigation, just really inept when it comes to implementing change based on what they learn in investigations.
Fund the Border Patrol, Equip the Border Patrol, give them a clear dirrective, and watch them do their job.

President Bush will not allow anything to be done because his own mother was an illegal immigrant from mexico. when you have a situation like that, you will have no answer or a solution to a problem that is plaguing our country.
