There could be hundreds of places if people would slow down and show a little respect for the law and each other. Its not impossible, all it takes is one person seeing the sense and asking their friends and co-workers to do the same. Then the city of the angels could live up to its name. Theres lots of fun places but no relaxing places. Museums exist all over the place and Parks. Try Griffith which has a telescope open to the public. Hollywood and Sunset Strip in Beverly Hills. Malibu on the coast and the Mountains of Altadena, hey get a map and stick in pin in it blindfolded and go there, you will find something fun to do. If you worry about racial tensions don't visit the Watts Towers or drive Wilshire Blvd.

My favorite place to have fun and relax in LA County is Catalina Island. It is a fun place to go for a few days, swim, kayak, snorkel, eat pizza and ice cream, listen to music, and feel like you are a million miles away. Don't you just love everything LA has to offer!?
Happy relaxing!
