This question was probably put out more as a sick joke than a real question. But, it has got me thinking. I believe there is a god. No, I do not go to church regularly by any means, but I am not an atheist. I have some issues with the way humans feel about certain things, just because the bible tells says so. What a boring place heaven is going to be if there are no pets or animals because they simply have no souls. Come on people. This does not make any since. Ever wonder why for thousands of years we have fought over bible and religious issues?? We will all find out what happens someday. I refuse to believe animals have no souls because a book says so "bible or no bible". As for as the question will the baby panda go to heaven. My answer is - "You will find out when you die someday, unless of coarse you go to the other place."

Just a random thought, I always assumed that pandas were born from Eggs, much like a bird, then they hatch and grow in multi-ton plant eating machines....
Well, I am not sure about the spirituality of Panda's, as most of them are in eastern based countries, it is possible they do not subscribe to the western christianity.
If this was a situation with a human being in the united states, who did believe in christianity, I believe that the child would go to heaven and the mother .... well, the mother would be brought up on possible child endagerment charges, as well as murder, not to mention living with the burden of ending the life of their child and convicted as a Felon... Never having been feeling worse for what they had done.

That was so sad, I read about that today also. But, I believe God does have a special place for animals, and no, the momma panda won't go to hell, it was an accident she crushed her baby in her sleep.

I know that the church teaches that animals do not have souls, but in my heart of hearts I lean towards them being in heaven with us. I believe animals are gifts to us here on earth and pets especially teach us so many things about unconditional love. Out of the three infused theological virtues, only love lasts once we are in heaven. We no longer need faith or hope. Animals have the capacity for love so I find my heart hoping they will be there with us.

#1 no one goes to Hell on an accident. That's why God had cities of refuge set up,so if some one killed accidently they could go there and be safe from the avenging relative.
#2 The Bible says in Ecclessiastes, that 'the soul of the beast goes down into the ground but the soul of man goes back to God who formed it.' But that is supposed to be the thoughts of a man who thinks nothing matters"All is vanity, and nonsense",he says. Now when Jesus returns he will be riding on a white horse,so who knows?

Mormons believe that every living thing has a spirit "after it's kind". Where they go after death is unknown to man at this time but will be learned in heaven by those who manage to get there.

We care for animals, not because they have a soul that will succeed them into Heaven but because God told us to take care of them.
