See, you get more chances. Why have only one chance, so much could go wrong like an accident, or an injury that keeps you from fulfilling a dream. Or maybe you were born a man and always wanted to be a woman.......or another race, or social status. Isn't that so much more to look forward to, to start again on a clean slate as a child (in any country), and almost no reason to fear death? It's just a "do over" if you die in this life, no biggie.

btw, I'm talking only about human to human.
Also, consider if this was true and we can all be reborn into each other, how you are responsible & should feel totally sympathetic to fellow human's conditions, in the world, etc.

People who truly believe in heaven, don't worry about fulfilling a dream, they worry more about heaven, because in heaven you live for eternity.

In life you will always feel pain, no matter what you get reincarnated into, but in heaven there will be no pain.

Those who believe in heaven believe in striving with ones goods and persons to help the poor, belief in reincarnation does not teach you this. The belief in reincarnation is taught by the same people who teach the superiority of the light-skinned people of India over the dark skinned people of India. Maybe they invented the idea of reincarnation to confuse the oppressed dark skinned people, so they could work for them obediently in slavery for eternit, but Christianity, Islam and Marxism are changing this caste-system.

I think it does to a certain extent. The pros would be that we are given another chance. We also could look forward to being something else that we aren't on this life, which could be good or bad. Now let me ask you this. Are our actions in this life going to determine the situation of our next? If not then what is the point. We are all here for a reason. Every living organism has a purpose. If we all believed reincarnation to be true then why would we care about what we accomplished in this life? We would just start over and have no reason to try and be better because like you said, its no biggie. We try to be better mostly because we want to achieve something in the afterlife, whether its heaven or enlightenment we are trying to make it to something better than this world. I think Buddhism makes the most sense. They believe in reincarnation, but they are on a ladder system. They die and if successful, they will be reincarnated on a higher level. They continue this process until they reach enlightenment at which point they are no longer reincarnated. They go to a sort of heaven for accomplishing the ultimate goal.

Now hear is what I think. All matter ( including humans) is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. We are all one consciousness experiencing ourselves subjectively. There is no such thing as death because our lives our just a dream in which we are imagining ourselves. That makes the most sense to me.

This is a really good movie script honey, but it has nothing to do with where you go when you die. It is just speculation on your part and mine. I do not know the doctrine that supports reincarnation and I am not going to dare try to say it is anything other than what some people believe. and it is okay if that is what they are going to believe. I will have my heaven , they will come back and go through living hell on earth one more time, I personally think one time is enough for me.

Reincarnation is not possible, reasonable or even logical and it is totally un scriptural having no basis in fact however there is an eye witness to resurection to Heavenly life a man of unquestionable truth Jesus and Heaven is mentioned in the Bible and talked about by other in the Bible as well as externally the other is an unknown to all in theBible hope that answers your question Gorbalizer

How many chances can you get?? For me, it just doesn't work out that way. I see why it makes more sense to you, but I think there's something infinately better waiting for us after death.

Life on Earth is full of pain, violence, dissapointment, and evil, as well as good, and thats why i think we only have to go through it once. It's not the end.

I think if we live our life righteously, according to the common "rules" or ethics that all humanity shares (don't kill, don't steal, yadda yadda), we get into "heaven".

It doesn't matter what your religion is, btw btw.

Well, reincarnation would mean no God? no creator, no intelegent design? so we can either conclude that sum sadistic being is in control of all things, or at least MADE all things come into existance, and with that belief comes a beleif in an after life (i dont know about the logic connecting those things) so it either a God, or just matter, now what would want us to keep repeating our time here on earth? would this sadistic God want us to keep coming bak to this inhumal planet that it created? or would it just b a stitch in the universe, that living being "soul" on "bare nature" posses other bodies to continue on?- a big game of recycle the soul.

It is just as justifiable as heaven. Both are written in religious Scriptures, but with reincarnation being an older concept. I would have to agree more with reincarnation, heaven just seems to hateful (everyone is judged and what not).

I don't believe heaven exists just because it was written in a book.

Yes but Heaven appeals to people more because it serves as a
better positive reinforcement for being good and honest in this
life.

I think reincarnation is preferable to one life and then a choice of two unpleasant places forever. You do get as many chances as you need, and that has many advantages. Both are fantasies, however. There is no scientific evidence for either tale.

I believe reincarnation exists because I've left my body. It's natural for me to think I would survive death.
