the secret here is in the mix. do NOT use the margarita mixes for sale in the grocery stores.
the best mix out there was one put out by williams-sonoma, but they don't have the same supplier anymore.
now, i get nothing but great raves for my margs made from trader joe's all natural limeade. it is sold in the refrigerated juice case. seriously. and it's inexpensive as well.
trust me. give it a try.
and use a good tequila please!! cuervo gold is for high schoolers to puke on. get a bottle of patron or tres generaciones.

Can of Bacardi Brand Frozen Lime Mix
Sauza gold tequila
Lots of Ice cubes if you want it frozen
Follow the directions on the Can and put all in a blender
Rub a lime along the rim of a margarita or martini glass, invert the glass into a saucer of salt to salt rim the glass, pour, drop the lime slice into the glass, drink it down
OR just take tequila shots
Get a lime slice, some salt and a shot of tequila
Shake some salt onto the web between your thumb and forefinger, lick the salt, bite the lime, down the shot.
