Just try to cut down on portion size, but still have a balanced diet (that means protien, carbs, and even a little fat. Oh, and tons of water. It's all necessary for your body.) Eat slowly, to give your body a chance to tell you that you're full (it takes 20 minutes for your blood sugar to rise and tell your brain that you're satisfied. A lot of overeating can happen in 20 minutes if you eat too fast!) Avoid junk food and soda. Soda causes insulin spikes that will trap fat in your body - that's how people get diabetes.
Anyway, the most important thing is to get lots of exercise. Powerwalk, jog, stretch, do Yoga, dance, do calisthenics, lift some light weights - everything you can to get your heart pumping for at least 30 straight minutes a day. If you keep it up, your body will become a fat-burning machine, and you won't even need to worry about what you eat (but you'll still want to practice portion control at all times.)
Good luck!!!

There is no easy way to lose weight. What you should do is eat normally but make sure you exercise more. Just ate a big lunch out at Arby's or McDonalds? Go outside and play with your kids (if you have them, don't know how old you are.) Or with the family pet. Exercise more, do push ups and sit ups and stretch out your body more. Sittign at home bored while watching tv? Well then get up and go outside to take a walk around outside. Loads of easy ways to find time to exercise.

Don't worry too much about the food - that is, don't stress about it. Take a brisk walk of two miles, non-stop, every day.
You'll find that your apetite stabilizes as the exercise relieves a little of the stress in your life.
You'll have to talk yourself into it many days - that a good thing - it's a positive move toward health that you will refer to when you sit down to eat.
Don't make a list of this-and-that kinds of things to eat - do the exercise, think good thoughts, and treat yourself well.
Fat is a disease, but the cure is in your hands. Cheer up and do it. Keep us posted.
