Do not use shampoo if you want to keep your hair in good condition. Grind some hibiscus leaves daily . and apply the paste to your hair and leave it to soak for a few minutes and then wash it throughly. use coconut oild to groom teh hair whenit is dry nd not when it is wet . You can also soak some fenugreek seeds in water overnight and grind tehm with the hibuiscus leaves . if avilable or use fenugreek seed paste alone to wash the hair .apply coconut oil alone when THE HAIRS ARE DRY. and comb it the way you want .Do this for a week and se if it helps and iof so do it frequently. do not wet the hair without oil. To clean the oil and dirt from theroots of hehair , yu can use the same fenugreek seed paste and hibicus leaves paste . Soap nut powder also wil help to remove dirt . Shampoos contin only sodium flouride tpo cause froth tha gives you a false feeling that the soapy froth remofves all the dirt . some preparations might contain sodium silicate tht will gie a strong soapy feeling without any benefit . ait might require a large quantity of wter to remove th esoapy feeling that the sodium silicate gives to touch.
do not wet the hairs withiur oiling it as water would get into the hair root and hair and weaken the strands and spoil the compound (melanin)that gives it the black colour

Shampoo once a week with baby shampoo. Use conditioner on your hair daily, at least on the ends. Always rinse with cool water; this will help your hair look shinier.
This next part sounds kind of gross, but I swear it works. Do this once a week before you shampoo.
Smooth about 2 tablespoons of olive oil (more or less depending on length) through your hair, concentrating on the ends. Pile your hair on top of your head and wrap it with either a piece of aluminum foil or a shower cap. Run your hair dryer on "low" over the foil or cap for about 5 minutes. Shampoo out, and condition as normal.
As a general rule, regular trims will help, as your ends will look healthier.

ok 1st off DON'T wash your hair everyday. you're actually supposed to every other week but seeing this is prob hard for you do it once a week.
1- change shampoos and conditoners. get a moisture rich shampoo. Brands like TRESumme and Dove are really good
2-steam your hair aka deep condition it. Get a deep conditioner and leave in hair and conver with a cap and leave it for like 10mins. shampoo & condition as u norm would after
3-get a hair moisturiser and/or polish. apply this to your hair evry other day or whenever you find it's looking a lil bit dry. try brands like TRESumme or Wave by Designs or Optimum. hair moisturisers make your hair soft and smooth and the hair polish makes it shiny. The greatest brand is Sedal but it's impossible to find really
4-oils treatments are for your scalp not your hair so avoid them.

Number 1, make sure you are drinking enough water. If you are dehydrated, both your skin and hair will become dry. If you have dry scalp ... you may want to go to a local beauty school and have a scalp treatment done ... they are very inexpensive. As far as products, I have used Neutrogena and like it a lot. But sometimes I *still* have dry hair (but I also live in a very dry climate). I also use Avon's Advance Techniques Dry End Serum. Hope you get some helpful answers here!

According to my hair stylist...you should apply this formula:
put some egg whites in a bowl and add some amla powder and shikakai powder and 1/2 cup coconut oil and most imp. add 2-3 cups henna powder...and by adding water make a thick paste and apply it to ur hair and leave to dry for an hour...and wash it with any shampoo...(add egg only if thr is dandruff in ur hair)
Do this thrice a month and you will feel tht ur hair is soft...

Use a very gentle shampoo, so it won't strip out the natural oils in your hair. You also need a good conditioner, and perhaps a weekly deep-conditioning treatment. I use Dove products.
Go to:
http://www.dove.us/product_finder/product_finder.asp
...and the product finder will help you figure out exactly which ones you need.
Hope this helps!
