All you have to do is wet a tissus and drip a couple drops of rubbing alcohol into your ear. You can then leave the tissue in your ear. The alcohol attracts the water and absorbs it. It works like a charm... trust me I get water in my ears alot.

The reason you can't get the water out is because there's
a alot of ear wax built up in the ear canal.
Try this. It works for me.
Purchase an enema bottle from your favorite pharmacy.
It 's a clear very soft plastic bottle, same as a douche
bottle. I can't tell you the name brand because I threw
away the package it came in. Anyways.....
When you get it, open the bottle and discard it's contents.
Wipe the gell off the tip and fill the bottle with warm water.
Over a kitchen sink or a bathroom hand sink, insert the tip
of the bottle into the ear canal. Squeeze the bottle as hard
as you can. This will create a jet action that will force the
wax build up to come out. Do this 2 or 3 times. If it doesn't
come out, it means the wax is compressed.
You'll need to get it loose. It's stuck to the ear drum and the
ear canal. That requires something else.
Get some hydrogen peroxide and an eye dropper.
Extract some hydrogen peroxide with the eye dropper and
put some into the ear canal. You will quickly hear the
peroxide going to work by the sound of snapp, crackle, and
pop. Wait until the sound subsides. Then go over to the
sink and do the enema bottle squeeze. It may come out
on the first try or the second, but rest assured, it WILL come
out!! I've done this for years.
In the future, don't try to get ear wax out by using a q-tip.
All it does is compress the wax some more. Don't use
anything that will damage the ear drum.
If you or the person that you are helping is experiencing
heavy wax build up, it helps that the bottle squeeze pro-
ceedure be done every two to three weeks.
You'll know when to do this when the ear feels puffy.
You won't have to do the peroxide deal if you do this
regularly and you'll also notice that when you get water
in your ears, be it by taking a shower or swimming or
what ever, the water in the ear canal, will drain out
freely, as it should. I wish you well.

You should probably avoid using a Q-Tip, as you can puncture the eardrum.

One way to get it out is to turn on your side and let it drain out. It might take a few moments, but it can work. You can also help it out by taking the tip of you finger, putting it tight against the ear canal opening, and vigorously pushing-pulling to get a slight vacuum effect, THEN lay on your side.

If you let the water remain in there, you can wind up with a VERY PAINFUL ear infection within about 12-18 hours. That's how my eardrum got punctured when I was 16. The infection created so much swelling and pressure during the night, that I woke up with blood coming from my ear and in great pain.

I wish you the best!

Get one of those nose things for baby and gentle suck the water out. Some ear drops come with the device.

Try tilting your head to the side the water is in and shaking your head. If that doesn't work, go to an eye, ear, nose and throat specialists. Don't try putting a hair dryer to your ear. Someone in my town did that last year and burned his ear.
