there are many foods with the letter u. Udo a Japanese vegetable, udon a Japanese noodle, ugli fruit a Jamacican tangerine, umeboshi which are pickled Japanese plums, and of course an American favorite: Upside down cake.
As for the x... xanthan gum which is produced from the fermentation of corn sugar.

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. Therefore as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.
