White Willow Extract is the natural form of modern day Aspirin.
Great anti inflammatory, as well as good with pain.
BUT not sure how a Cats system would handle it, and not even sure what a vet could tell you. Would figure if Aspirin would bother a cat then you better not try it. That is the only thing I can think of right away....sorry not much help. Could call your vet and ask if a cat can have aspirin if he says yes they get some White Willow Extract, if you need help finding it, contact me. I do not sell it I am just a user of it and know it works well. Good luck

Get Cosequin for Cats or JointMax at
http://healthypets.com/
In the Arthritis & Joint Supplement's department, of course.

Note that it's "Cosequin for Cats." Regular Cosequin is for dogs and the dose per capsule is much more than a cat needs.

They have those same ingredients. Easy to use (just sprinkle a capsule on kitty's food) and works great. Cosequin changed my Scooter's life, helped my Rusty, and I know several others who had the same great results.

I don't know what you're paying now, so I don't know if these products are cheaper, but they're not expensive. I stuck with Cosequin because my Boys accepted it and I didn't want to mess with success, but JointMax has twice the amount of the ingredients for less than twice the price. (Though I don't know if it comes in a dosage suitable for cats.

You must take wonderful care of your kitty for her to get that old!

Wow - I have never heard of a cat living to be that old - anyway you could add some MSM supplement to the supplements you are using today - check out the prices on Amazon.com - you can do compare prices and let Amazon search the internet for the best prices - You can also check out Dr's Foster and Smiths medical catalog for alternative therapies for bad hips.

I used Amazon to locate a lower price for a medicated shampoo - my vet was charging $18.99 for 8 oz bottle, I was able to purchase a 12 oz bottle for $15.00 dollars and the shipping was $3.95, so I paid less then my vet for 50% more shampoo. A significant savings.

make sure the cat stays warm and has a nice bed made for arthritec cats and dogs. since she is so old keep her out of drafts and get some cat joint therapy from wallmart and give it faithfully . give it a couple weeks to work.if her teeth are gone or bad crush it up and put in her favorite soft food as pills are kind of hard to get down. thank the Lord you have had these wonderfull years with her and you have definately done something right by her age.I have heard 21 years. what is her breed? wall mart joint therapy is much cheaper
