Larry, in looking at your profile, it seems like you have an awful lot of questions aimed at stirring up anger towards Christians or even towards God.
What happened in your life to make you so bitter towards Christians and Christianity?
Not all of us are like this.
And to answer your question, in many churches they appoint a Finance committee or even a church treasurer for just this reason. The pastor does not touch the offering plate and financial issues have to go through the church treasurer. The Pastor may approve expenditures, but he does not handle the money. That resolves Pastors from having the temptation of raiding the church funds.

Because he or she obviously has a gambling problem. Or maybe they thought that since Bingo is a form of gambling also it was an appropriate use.

He's human, and as a human he is just a easily seduced by wrong doings as the rest of us. Just because one calls them-self a minister, priest, Rabi, preacher, or pope--No mater what any of us do we can never rise above human, and our human failings
That is why you should NEVER put anybody up on a pedestal, preachers may preach about God, but they are NOT God.

Because he is a human being with faults...just because he's a minister does not mean he is perfect. Your church is wrong if they put him on a pedestal. We are all sinners!
