Christians commit suicide just like anyone else...yeah, the nuns taught us it was a "sin and you'd never get into heaven" and they also taught us that "babies that die go to purgatory, not heaven."
What a terrible thing to say...but that's the church dogma. Christians have also brought on their own death by defending Christianity...they are taught that too as a direct route to heaven.
What is the difference between what we were taught and what the Muslims are taught?....It is all the same garbage, and it kills and is killing every day. For what?
Life is all we know...and time is all we have on this beautiful earth. Understand that and maybe we can find a peaceful solution to the warped beliefs and theories everyone is expounding and are so absolute about. It's what you are taught, all propaganda, mind control, don't think, just do....or else. You know the rest of the story..

OK, you may not like or agree with this but I need to share with you.
I almost did what you feel like doing. Actually, I tried.
It doesn't have anything to do with your or my notion of God!
Suicide is a human choice and God is ambivalent about this.
Many will disagree with this but it doesn't matter the fact is still true.
Please allow me to tell you there will be many surprises for most when they find their way over to the other side!
Suicide is nothing more than a choice some of us make on the material side of reality in our Universe. It has no consequences on the immaterial side of reality in our Universe!
If you make this choice the only thing that happens in the material realm of reality is you will no longer be able to make a difference in the material world!
Please know this truth! You will not be condemned on the other side!
After having said all of this I wish you would think carefully about making this choice. You are more powerful than you may realize.
You have more value than you may realize. You are a light brighter than any star!
May I tell you this... I truly did try to commit suicide but I am both happy and joyful now that I did not succeed because I have seen the light of 1000 stars, but none so bright as the light within.
If I can help you in any way please do not hesitate to let me know.
Have fun but be safe.

I don't think God wants anyone to commit suicide. Why would He want you to kill something that he created? Remember that we were created in his image.
Suicide is NEVER the answer. God wants you to live your life to the fullest. He has a reason for you to be here. It is up to you to get yourself better and find the reason. Go find help NOW! Call a suicide hotline or go to your local ER.
Do you really think that God would put a soul and brain in a body and then want it wasted because that was his plan? Come on....suicide is not a plan. Making something of your life, helping others, having a family, bringing joy to others...that's a plan.
GET HELP!
Good luck!

I had a friend when I was 16 years old ( a long time ago) that committed suicide. He was convinced that Heaven (he was a committed Christian) was a much better place then what he was experiencing here.
As far as I can tell the Bible is silent on what happens to someone who committs suicide.
I like to think that my friend is in Heaven today and that I'll join him someday, but I have to confess I just don't know.

I would tend to think so. There is some evidence in the Bible to show there is predestination.
God makes mentally retarded people and they may not always be capable of fully understanding or accepting religion. I can't see them be forsaken.
God may make homosexuals. If God does, then you are questioning God when you shun them or think ill of them
Some murders could also be created by God. We may find Hitler in Heaven or Charlie Manson.
This kinda of contradicts one of my previous answers about there being NO get out of jail free card, but I'm speaking there of "normal, average people who have free will."

i am sure that God would take each case on its own merits
however these days with all the modern drugs and the like a lot can be done to support someone who has these symptoms into living a normal life
and think of friends and family left behind too - the anguish is far beyond than when someone who dies either accidentally or of natural causes - would you really want those people to suffer in your wake for years to come? may not get over it?

It's a spiritual issue too. Even when things seem all against us they're not. There are forces working to defeat Christians and we have to come against them, recognize them for what they and take authority over them. Go for prayer and counseling with your Pastor and get into the Word.
