Once a person has accepted anything in his present, that is a sure sign that he is ready to move on with his life. So, I believe that acceptance is harder than moving on.
It takes time to heal the wounds of the present but once one has realized that he cannot change the situatin he is in, he learns to accept it and at that very moment, when realization and acceptance is complete, moving on is just a second away.

Why is the present hard? Moving on is the only real choice you have. sitting still will not make you happy, the future might.

Yes.
It takes time, too. People will tell you to brush yourself off and move on. You might tell yourself that. It takes how long it takes. If you start to think it takes too long, get professional help.
