Is this PROOF that MUSLIM men CANNOT control themselves? re: women wearing veils?

Is it true that women wear veils to protect themselves from muslim men? I was given the example that if 2 women were walking and one was wearing a veil, the other wearing less clothes, it is a GIVEN that the muslim men will tease the one wearing less clothes. Does that mean it is a GIVEN that muslim men cannot control their urges and temptations enough to stop themselves from disprespecting someone's mother/daughter or wife?
Why do muslim women have to wear veils to protect themselves from men? Isn't the man supposed to be protecting the woman?
How weak can these men be?

Ever since western Christian women started to abandon covering themselves in modesty, just like religious Muslim and Jewish women, they have been highly targeted by Christian men, it is too common today. How can you say that only Muslim men get attracted to women who expose their hair, legs, arms, and/or bellies in public? It is scientifically logical that it is more likely that women will get enticed into prostitution and/or fornication/adultery if they expose their hair, arms, legs, backs and/or bellies in public. Many Muslim women understand these things and cover themselves out of respect for their body, because they don't want to respected for their natural beauty but for who they are as persons, they don't want to be looked upon as mere sex objects but motherly figures. The mother of Jesus covered herself in modesty, so why don't Christian women cover themselves in modesty, and call it oppression when Muslim women cover themselves in modesty. It is a sign of the end times that it is considered "backward" for women to cover themselves in modesty. Since when is lewdness a sign of progress and modesty a sign of lack thereof? It is imitation of ape females for women to expose themselves, so it is backward for women to expose parts of their bodies in public out of lack of self-esteem, and many of these same women demand to be equal to men when there mentality is so primitive in trying to expose their bodies to male strangers. It is no wonder that there is an epidemic of divorces in many western societies, especially America. Women are worth much more than their bodies, just as men are worth more then their bodies.

Wearing veil is a cultural pattern for most of the muslim societies as wearing a skirt or trouser is in Western cultures. However, this tends to be different in different parts. In rich classes veil is not used.
It is a sign of triabal social norms where women usually lives inside houses to be protected from the enemy and to bring up childern. That seclusion has renderd her to cover her body when going outside. There is no variety of jobs in agrarian societies but farming which requires strength to plow the soil and man is fit for it. Women came out in industrialised society where there are jobs for them.
The point is economical opportunities not religion. Most women in educated environment do not wear veils.
The other point of mens control over themselves is similar all around the world. In Western countries men control them selves not because they dislike sex but the system does not allow them.

Originally the veils were worn by many groups of people. Jews, early Europeans, Hindus, etc. One of the reasons for this was that women were prized as they are the ones who carry on the society. Many Arabs were nomads and lived in the desert. The veils were worn to protect the women from the sand as well as to not show their faces to strangers. The Muslims are just continuing it but they worked it into their religion. It is the radical Muslims like the Al-qaeda, Hezbollah, Taliban and others who are now forcing the women to wear the veil against their wishes.

We must take into account the antiquity of this custom and the fact that Christianity, Islam and Judaism were borne out of desert climates. I hear that head coverings are useful in the desert, ask any American G.I.

I know lots of "weak men". Have you ever noticed the rape crime rates are 350% higher in "unveiled" countries? MEN HAVE ALMOST UNCONTROLLABLE SEX DRIVES!! Now besides this, id like to point out that men must also wear hijab (covering, veil). They must cover all the parts which women find attractive. Also, they must not stare at women's bodies, it's forbidden ( that's rite, NO PORN!). And, one reason of hijab is to distinguish muslims women from all the rest of the religions. It is a proud symbol. Dont be confused by merely ONE aspect. It is a protection from men's lusts, sure... but it means so many other things. Too many things to list. I dont know why people make such a big deal out of the veil... we wear it bcoz we want to. I dont make other girls wear miniskirts and bikinis, do I? We all have our styles... and we're proud of ours!

"How weak can these men be??" Oh I don't know... I've never seen grown men "teasing" clothed women in America... and what kind of teasing are you referring to? Men are always making comments to and about women they find attractive. Ever been to a big city? Does that mean that men in America are weak? The uncovered woman will be harassed by every single male until she covers herself. The men deliberately harass such women to get them to submit to the regulations of Islam. Even non-Muslim women living in Muslim countries will get this same treatment.

I live in Australia and have seen women in bikinis at the beach and on TV since I was a kid.A bit of nudity here and there has not made me a rapist.I have become accustomed to it.These islamic fools,who follow this poison are an untetherred rabble who cannot control themselves.The reason for the shapeless gowns and face covering is to detract form the alluring and tempting shape of a womans body, and to keep men from sinning.It works for me.Every time I see one of these head to toe fabric covered penguins I want to puke!I imagine control over ones own actions would be enough to allow these women to dress any way they want.
