if my bf promised me some money that i didnt ask for, he said he was giving it to me friday. well heres friday and nothing. he also promised my daughter some money for getting good grades on her report card. well nothing. so i gave her the money instead. i havent said anything to him about this. well in the past he has done this before. i didnt ask him for it. but it would seem like im asking him for it if i come to him about it. what would you do and what do you think.

I think he does it to tease you and not in a nice way. Its manipulative. I think you should dump him babe, now he does it to your daughter too. Basically he doesn't follow through so why waste your time with him?

Since you dealt with the matter of your daughter, I wouldn't do anything. Just remember not to believe any of his promises in the future.
Its entirely possible he meant every word of it when he said, but maybe something turned up that made it impossible for him to honor the promise. (Or else, he's just got a personality problem and talks big for the moment without thinking beyond it)
Of course, if you really need money badly for something serious and/or urgent you could just ask him if you could borrow some money. He either can lend it or not, and maybe he'll say you don't have to pay it back. Maybe, too, he'll say he forgot about what he said earlier.

I would have a serious talk to him about it, say you just can not make promises to children like that, tell him you are an adult, and you can handle it but it just not is right to make those kind of promises you can not fulfill. This could lead to more serious promises being broken, so I would put a stop to it before it did get to that point.

Get a new bf. Seems like his intentions are good, but he can't hang on to his money or manage it. You obviously need the money, so look for a bf that doesn't play money games like this. this is crap. bad juju.

You should think that your bf is a major loser. He probably knows you will cover for his grandiose promises. If you don't say anything, he is just going to continue this behavior.

maybe you give him the impression that he should give you money .. and he thinks he should because you;re in need .. but than again you don't ask him for it

sounds like he tells you things that he thinks you want to hear but then doesn't follow thru......not good....talk to him.
