Muslims claim Jesus was a prophet but reject all His teachings ..
They reject Christ's divinity;
they reject his claim to be the Son of God;
they reject his death on the cross;
they reject His ressurrection..
They reject Jesus is the Christ/ Messiah...
Need I say more...?
Don't be deceived. The Islamic god is totally different than the God of Jesus Christ
"Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. He that denies the Son, the same has not the Father." (I John 2:22

Yes, very much so. Without understanding the connections between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, you will never understand what all the fighting is about in the Middle East.
Basically, and I mean I am making this VERY SIMPLE, Jews use the Torah as their law and believe there is one God, and the messiah is still to come. They believe in many great prophets from the Bible, including Moses and Abraham, who brought God's word to man. They believe Jesus was also one of those prophets sent by God.
OK, the Christians go for that, they believe in the great prophets and that God gave instructions to them for the people. However, they believe Jesus was special, that he was the son of God and not just a prophet. Although many traditions are carried over from the Jews, they are all not adhered to or believed in.
Enter Muhammed, a prophet who came on the scene after Jesus and brought the Qu'ran, a new set of instructions for the people. The Qu'ran builds upon the teachings in the Old Testament. The basic monotheistic belief of one god, Allah, is still there. Followers of Islam recognize prophets like Jesus and Abraham, but believe Muhammed was the special prophet sent by Allah for the true believers.
After studying the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Qu'ran, I found the similarities far outweigh the differences. We are connected through our histories, our land, our politics, our ancestries, our marriages, our children, OUR FUTURE.
The situation in the Middle East and Holy Land is about much more than religion. But we all need to understand all the history involved, or we will never be able to find peace.

Absolutely NOT!
Islam is worship of the Only True God.
Christianity is blind acceptance of a mystery of three Gods in one as one God.
Christ is the only common thread between Islam and Christianity and both Muslims and Christians take this to mean Jesus is Isa, when Jesus is the God that came out of an alleged crucifixion that Quran firmly denies and describes as a Hoax.
In Islam there is no Jesus, which is where the great difference lies and where the Muslims are deceived into saying that Jesus of the Bible and Isa of the Quran are the same.
The Bible can be used to provide the evidence that the name of Jesus is falsely applied to Christ by the same Hoax that claims the crucifixion of Christ, which the Quran strongly denies.
The Quran warns Muslim about nicknames and false identification but Muslims somehow ignore Quran and go to what they call Sunnah, which is also falsely translated to insert Jesus where there is no Jesus.
What therefore attracts Christianity to Islam is that thread of Christ and Jesus that separates them from each other, which is to say that the separation is the connection, and therefore denies a connection.
Christians who feel attracted to Islam are made so by the Jesus factor and are made to believe that they have found this other clean side of Jesus in Islam when it is a totally different character.
Muslims go further than simply denying the Quran when they make the companions of the Christ of the Quran "Christians" by falsely translating the name that honestly means "Helpers" to say "Christians", which adds to the confusion of the Hoax of the crucifixion that Muslims guess about simply because they have strayed from Quran and from Islam.
In order to remove the confusion that is put into the minds of Christians and Muslims about the Christ and the Hoax of crucifixion, one must carefully examine the Bible for the evidence of the Hoax and the Bible does contain this evidence, which is documented in The Age Of Reason and which is available for those who wish to find answers to the connection/disconnection between Islam and Christianity and the Children of Israel.
You dont use a magic wand to remove 2000 years of religious fraud from the mind of the human being who is born in the chains of trickery. The individual needs to make the effort to break from these chains.

Islam beliefs are very close to those of Judaism. All three (Islam, Judaism, Christianity) came from Abraham. God said his descendants would be as numerous as the stars, and I'd say that's 100% true! Islam and Christianity share a few common beliefs (those in the Bible up to Abraham) but disagree on a lot more.

Both incorporate the Torah (Jewish text) into their own texts. Both believe in God and that God is the only authority in the universe. Both believe in Jesus and the other prophets of the Torah. However in Islam Jesus was not resurrected he was taken up by God to await his return during the Golden Age which occurs after God defeats the forces of evil (armies) of the earth. In Islam Jesus is the "pure" prophet and the only one to live a completely pure life while on earth he will return to teach Islam to the world during the Golden Age.

Both of them state in their respective books (bible/koran) that women are worth less than men. Some may be surprised to know that the christian bible states this even more so than the koran, just fundamentalist islamic teachings oppress women because they change the story around.
Also, they share a holy place, along with Jews: Jerusalem.

None whatsoever. They mention Jesus as a prophet, do not believe He was the son of God who died on a cross, rose again, and is the only way to salvation. Their god is NOT the God of the bible. If Allah were the God of the bible, Islam would believe in Jesus as savior.

I think that Islam is more open to Christians, believe it or not.
For instance, in the christian religion, you are not to be unequally yoked to unbelievers, but a Muslim may marry either a Christian or a Muslim because they both stem from religion of Abraham.
Both believe in the same God, but their biggest difference is in their interpretation of Jesus verses their prophet.
I'm no expert here, but this is what someone who was a Muslim once explained to me.

There are so many. I am Christian and my husband is muslim and we talk about these things. So many of the same stories show up in both our books. Adam and Eve (Adam and Howah), Noah, Mary and Joseph (they call him Yoseph) Its pretty cool to see how simular all of our beliefs really are.

Jesus for one, then the whole religion thing, and killing and oppressing those who disagree with you. Other than the names of the followers, is there anything not similar between the two?
