The transmission fluid is inside the transmission. The owners manual should tell you how to access it.

I have never owned a jetta, but I do know that the trans is on the driver's side of the engine. The dipstick should be somewhere in the area where the motor and trans bolt together. Hope this helps.

this is kind of hard to do for the do it yourself-er but i will explain it anyway. 1. the trans has to be cold(like after it sits over night) 2. start the car and remove the 5mm Allen bolt in the bottom of the pan. 3. let the trans warm up in park until it reaches 30 degrees Celsius 4. once the trans has warmed up to 30 the fluid should run out of the 5mm Allen hole in the pan. if no fluid runs out then you must fill it till it runs out. the filler is on the front of the trans( has a red cap.) once trans is full put plug back in and you should be all set. ***most of the time the trans will be already full. the trans that came in your car is not very good and will most likley need to be replaced. i am guessing it takes a long time to go from park to drive***

no dipstick. But you can add fluid by breaking the little red cap at the bottom and replacing with a new one. The level is checked with a scan tool on that car

Well xcamelriderx95 is probably right as quite a few newer transmission are "sealed". This means they cannot be checked by DIYers.
