Technically, it never stops growing until the day you die or develop a very serious disease. If an average person's hair grows six inches a year and that person lives to seventy, then if it's never cut, that'd be a 35-foot long hank of hair. There was a popular Country/Western singer a few years ago who had hair that, when let down, went all the way to her heels and trailed several feet behind her on the floor. Dunno why she didn't cut it for so long - it did not improve her looks or her performances - yeah, she was pretty good onstage.

while you are alive - hair never stops growing.
Assuming you live for 75 years and never cut your hair - and it grows at a rate of approx. 1/2 inch per month - in theory it will be 450 inches long by the time you turn 75.
this is ridiculous of course, as there are many factors which govern your hair growth - age, health, care etc. not to mention loss of hair and thinning as we grown older.

It's a product of genetics and general health. It could go down to your ankles if you're patient and you have good genes.
