I'm Catholic and I believe in God and Jesus and so does my family. But, we don't go to church every sunday and as I said I'm not Christian, but Catholic. I don't know much about the Bible but i definately have faith. So my question is, do you have to read the bible, go to church every sunday, and know everything about God to be saved? Seriously, some people speak of going to church as a chore or something they have to do. It's not something they really enjoy I think. As for me, I have faith but I don't have patience, so I get bored in church.

I do not believe one has to be a perse "christian". God examines what is in one's heart..denominations, religions, doctorines, they are all they same. We are as one, we are of God. We are on the same planet to do the same work...loving one another and being of service to our fellow man. Why do people complicate spirituality, isn't it so very simple?

Ive had the same question for a long time and heres what I came up with....I also was brought up a catholic and also dont go to church. I dont think I really consider myself a catholic. I like some things about the Catholic religion and some things about Christianity. I DO NOT believe that you have to go to church to be saved. I believe in God and follow his teachings probably more then most people but i dont need to go to church to do it. So to answer your question....in my opinion no you dont need to go to church to be save. As long as you believe thats all that matters.

Umm first off being a Catholic is being a Christian. The Catholic religion falls under the catagory of Christianity. No where does God command anyone to go to church, or follow a religion. God asks you to believe and to love and follow Him. The Bible is the Word of God and has many important messages in it.

Going to church is not what gets you saved.Believing that God sent his only son to die on the cross for your sins.If you will confess this with your mouth and believe it in your heart god will save you.This is the only way to be saved.One should go to church just to stay in God's word and have followership with other Christians.I have freind that are Catholics and they are Christians as the Catholic faith is a Christian religion.May god bless you and be with you allways.

All you have to do is ask God to forgive you of your sins. Believe on his name accept him as your personal savior and the rest will come as God opens your heart to it. I think you is still trying to find God.If you have faith and believe then you are a Christian.I do not think you learning anything in the church you go to.Yes you do have to know to connect with God.Look up the scripture Matthew24:1-27.And Ecclesiates 12:13.

you just have to believe in God and accept that jesus died for you on the cross so that you can go to heaven. Maybe you should pray for patiences or attend a church that is more exciting for you.Going to church doesnt really make you a better christian or believer if your just sitting there.it is good fellowship though.

Dear friend, above all other things we believe in a G-d of boundless mercy and hospitality; a Master of the Universe who even in the weakest example of humanity formed His Own image and likeness. Each person radiates with the likeness of the Creator who knows us for who we are. He knows our limits and our strengths, after all He made us individually the way that we are. So should who we are hold back the love and care of our Mighty Deliverer? I think not. Glorify the Name with who you are and strive to be ever a better human soul. Being saved is not about going to church or anything you can do.It is about a relationship. God the Father, Jesus the son, and the Holy Spirit is a real being. Talk with Him, listen to Him. Then you will do those things that please Him from the love that grows from that relationship.

let me explain to you about being saved the bible states that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that he is lord.being saved is simply confessing your sins to jesus,believing that he died and rose on third day.you are saved,but in order to live a saved life you must learn of who he is.you must go to church with other believers and have a pastor teach you.the bible is a book of basic instuctions before leaving earth.it tells you of all the mighty works god has done,how he sent his only begotten son to die for our sins,it tells you how to live a victorious life in christ.it tells you what is and what is not pleasing to the lord.it is not enough just to say i am saved. when you give your life to christ we become little ministers,we go and tell others of his goodness.things he has done for you,he will change things you didnt like about yourself.he will make you whole again.so you tell your testimony to others in the hope that they might say what shall i do to be saved.as for you getting bored in chuch,why is that.you have to want to know about jesus you have to want to please the lord.he delights in us learning of him.this is the reason that church is so important.it is also important to find a bible preaching bible teaching church.living your life for christ is about sacrifice.i hope you will take heed to this answer and i pray that you will make jesus the lord of you life.
