The problem with the Christian bible is that it is not the word of Jesus, it is the word of his companions. The original bible did exist, but it was burned by the Jews, so the companions of Jesus made a new Bible and added much to it to enhance the image of Jesus to "son of God", in that Caesar was titled "son of God", so they thought Jesus should be titled as such, I read in a Newsweek article that archaeologists found an ancient artifact to support this.

And I'm sure there are many Muslims who feel exactly that way about Jesus and Christianity. Until you respect other's, you will only invite more and more hatred. Do you really believe that your intolerance and hatred in this life really what Jesus wants you to do to get into heaven? I'm a Christian, and I don't know of anywhere where Jesus said to hate or to spout thd kinds of things that you do.

he did not mean Jesus was a lie,we believe Jesus was a very rightous man and a great prophet,he would never lie,but he did not write the bible.I was a christian for many many years so i understand what the bible says, and i would never disrespect it in the manner you are choosing to do to the koran and the prophet, shame on you,I can only imagine what your pastor sais to you and they were proubly just his thoughts also, because he proubly did no research befor he convinced you of the bible, see the difference is we strive for knowledge, even of other religions,we try to understand everyone else, but we know the truth and have compassion for others, your wrong in you beliefs, but i would never slander your religion

calm down take a deep breath, sounds like you were interested and stimulated intellectually to think about your religion-that's not a sin. If you learn something from another's beliefs, that's great. you dont have to be paranoid of even listening due to fear of being "tricked". If you settle in on your religion as your way of life, thats fine, if you find something that suits you better, thats ok too. No one can force you, Muslim religion doesn't have any compulsion in their religion (of trying to indoctrinate others) So you are safe to listen and think, it's actually good for the brain.

You're all a bit too zealous for me.
Leave the fanaticism at home, and the world will be a better place...this goes for the Muslims, the Christians and all others who get a little too worked-up over stuff like that.

99% muslims are surface sniffers who dont know anything about life or the way of it, they kill, rape, torture and say its what god wants us to do. They use God as a covinient toy! Isnt it alarming that more than 99% terrorists or fanatics are muslims. There are exceptionally mature and good muslims too, no question about it, many of the acquaintances i have are muslims, and i respect them a lot, but after knowing so many i think its really unfortunate that god is treated like a pile of that is molded in whichever way they like. All they need to do is grow up and open their eyes, but theyre minds are blocked by the teachings of a couple of dicatators who dont care about anything or anyone, but these "surface sniffers" choose to follow them. Its truely amazing!

this in NO way means that prophet Muhammed was the ONLY honest prophet of God.
ALL prophets are honest.
the early church did change a lot of things and YOU KNOW IT.
"Say (O Muslims): We believe in Allah and what is revealed to us and in what was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob and the Tribes, and hat Moses and Jesus received, and what the other Prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinctions among any of them."
peace!!

Its such a long debate that I will just focus on few misconceptions:
1- Islam does not teach that Muhammed ( peace be upon him ) is the only " honest prophet ". Islam teaches that all prophets of Allah ( including Jesus, or Moses) were innocent and honest. All prophets ( including Muhammed -peace be upon him) are human and answerable to Allah like all other human beings. Nothing less nothing more.
2- Islam teaches that this is our good deeds and believe in Allah which will lead us to heaven with his " mercy". No human has any control on this.
3- Lot of chrisitian scholars did research and prove that there are too many alteration and addition and subtraction in Bible and old testament. If you do not believe it just go to google and you can research it. Again its not other religions but actually Christian scholars who say this.
4- The concept that if someone believes that Jesus is son of God, will automatically get all sins excused and he will go to heaven has a potential problem in itself. Just think if someone sins are already forgiven by just admitting that Jesus is son of God, what incentive is left for them to do any goods or not to do any sin?? The concept is difficult to accecpt for muslims who so stongly believe that there is only one authority who has created all this and nobody shares his powers as nobody is like him. Allah is merciful and ganerous but not helpless. Islam teaches that when Allah says "happen" things happened themselves. Why would such Almighty be bothered by people on earth? Sending peole on earth for their exam is one thing. People can pass or fail this exam. But expecting God to come to earth and be a target of people's torture is unthinkable. If Allah can create this earth, huge mountains, this whole universe , why would he take any torture from anyone?
5- The notions that muslims are promised 72 virgins in heaven is a misnomer. In Holy Quran a glimpse of Heaven is presented with a promise to heightened all human senses, known and unknown. For example, on earth if we drink alcohol after every sip it will taste less In heaven it will be reversed. With every sip of wine the taste will taste better. Heaven can drink, eat , music, as much and as long as they want. Like other senses, sense of sex will also be heightened. Unlike earth there won't be any resitrictions. That brings the topic of 72 virgins ( which is not exactly virgin but actually a creature of heaven which is very beautiful and just for the people of heaven). Their this is just to provide a glimpse that how human beings will be REWAREDED in heaven with heightened senses and elimination of fears are rules. Its a place of never ending pleasure with nothing compares to it but not in a sinful way but rather in a noble way!
Its upto human mind how accept it, in good way or in a twisted way!!
6- Last its another misnomer that muslim were asked to kill all non-believers. If this would be true than under muslim rule for more than thousand years there wont be any non muslim alive in India or middle east or Europe. On the contrary, there is no evidence that there was ever any massacre of people in the name of religion as it was caried out in crusades and Holocaust. When you read these verses in true context what it implies is that if non believer attack them they should defend themselves.
Bottom line is that instead for labelling or name calling, if there is any evidence of lies in Quran then please bring it out and we can discuss in scholarly fashion! Peace
