Heres the story, i been real good friends with this chick ever since the begining of the year. I just asked her out a few days ago and she said she has to really think about it because she never thought i liked her so shes never really thought about goin out with me. And she said she has to think bout what its gonna do to our friendship but i told her we'd be friends either way. But the way i see it is if someone asks you out normally you already know if you wanna go out with em or not. Anyway its been bout a week and she aint been at school so i think shes had alot of time to think bout it, do you think shes just holdin back on saying no? and what would she need all this time to think about?

She's probably trying to let you down easy.

Unfortunately by you saying "We wil still be friends no matter what" isn't always true. You cross a line and things change. Especially once you sleep with one another. Trust me I know dealing with it now on sleeping with my friend of 18 years last summer. Haven't SEEN him since last summer, however there were circumstances that led us to where we are. Either way we should be able to get past those circumstances......

So if you value this persons friendship, tread lightly.

As far as knowing right away. Odds are yes. I typically no RIGHT away of course IF i'm interested. Hard to say though.

By the way.....most girls don't like to be referred to as "chicks" unless maybe you are just having a guys night out then they don't care.

It is just kind of a demeaning comment to women so be careful with that one.....

I understand her, she is taking time to think about your friendship. She has to think if she wants to take a chance of having a awkard relationship if you guy went out. She feels she doesn't want to lose you and a great friendship and if you had a bad relationship bf/gf she would feel it was her fault and that she would have felt that it was her fault agreeing to go out with you. Give so time, if you really like her. Good luck :)
