First of all, forget what the first jerk said. I would get her a really nice card, and write something thoughtful and meaningful inside it. I would also get her some flowers - it doesn't have to be anything extravagant - it's the thought that counts. Then I would take her to dinner at her favorite restaurant or some other place that has some special meaning to her or to the two of you - like maybe the first place where you met, or if appropriate, maybe take her to the place that the two of you went to on your first date. Good luck!

I'm assuming you mean an anniversary. Do something special of course, like taking her to her favorite restaurant. Keep it very romantic. Or cook dinner yourself, candles on the table, her favorite flowers, mood lighting, soft background music. That's something I would like very much. Good Luck
