Is it fair to say that these people could probably be convinced of almost anything.?... a very dangerous state of being.

Hmmm... 75% of the answers believe that the biblical account of the flood is true... a good correlation with statistical breakdowns of religious beliefs in the USA... which, by the way, is on a par with backward 3rd-world nations... not with modern industrial powers, as it should be. This offends me. I am offended by stupidity, willful ignorance and self delusion... which pretty much sums up the Abrahamic death cults of desert monotheism (Judaism, Christianity, Islam).

It offends me to know that three-quarters of the population of the USA are infected with some sort of insidious mental virus that leads them to the insane certainty that the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and fantastical delusions of a bunch of ignorant Bronze Age fishermen and wandering goat herders represent some kind of cosmic 'TRUTH' about fundamental aspects of existence and reality.

It offends me to know that so many people dwell in a delusional reality in which a 6,000 year-old Earth is seperated from a 6,000 year-old Heaven by a solid 'firmament' structure (the sky).

I am offended by the fact that these people believe that they inhabit a magical universe, which they share with talking snakes (with legs) and donkeys, a shepherd staff that turns into an asp, demons chased out of people and into pigs, friendly spirits, evil spirits, walking on water, multiplying loaves and fishes, food falling from the sky, conception by a ghost, people raised from the dead, the sun stopping in its tracks, parting seas, people being bodily sucked up into heaven (which, by the way, lies on the 'other side' of the sky), world-wide flood that drowned the earth to a depth of 40 feet above the tallest mountain, creating people from a dust bunny and a rib, a magical tree of knowledge, god speaking from a burning bush... and ritual cannibalism, by eating god in the form of a cracker.

In a sane world, anybody running around spouting ANY of that crap, would be locked up in the State Farm for the Funny. Apparently, though, mass insanity seems to convey some sort of free pass for the loony.

It offends me to know that in our society, irrational, deluded people who ACTUALLY BELIEVE such nonsense is TRUE are permitted to vote, hold public office, procreate, and shape the minds trusting, vulnerable children.

You call it a fairy tale, yet we know that every bit of the earth was under water at some point in the past, there are four ethnic groups with a flood account, read the Gilgamesh epic, you'll like that. Also try this on.
Before Noah there was a layer of water that encircled the earth which is what Genisis states. This layer of water protected earth from radiation and unknowns and gave the earth a lower gravity as much of the mass was up above the earth. people lived exceptionally long lives, almost a thousand years because of the green house like atmoshphere which would be very rich in oxygen as well. Plants and animals grew differently under these conditions (prehistoric). Then Noah builds a boat cause God says trouble is coming. Then a meteorite punctures that sac of water in the upper atmosphere and ruptures it then slams into south america. The falling water reaching near freezing in the upper atmosphere and falls on the earth in the north and south like a slush encasing wooly mammoths with green grass still in their mouths. The impact of the meteor also kicks up enough dust to block the sun (ice age)
When Noah steps out of the ark the world is a very different place, the sky looks different, the vegetation grows different, people don't live so long any more and neither do the animals which also grow radically different in these new heavier gravity environment, they grow smaller.
If your honest you'll admit this is a viable theory which explains a great deal more than evolution.

When it comes to being convinced about the Holy Bilbe. Then I am convinced. BUT you could not convince me of almost anything. The dangerous state of mind are those who do not believe. Those are the ones now that are dangerous. The un-believers are a great threat to us and all over the world. They don't believe in Heaven or Hell. I guess you haven't heard that evidence has been found in the top of a Mt. They are almost sure and with more search, they will prove that it is the Arch.

sure, I do. Public practise almost continuously teaches evolution in our college structures. that is why the percentage of Christians who stick with the historic account of Noah's Ark is dropping. Christianity teaches Earth is below 10,000 years previous and that the Earth appears a great deal elderly by using cataclysmic damages of the flood to the Earth. Evolution teaches that the Earth is billions and billions of years previous and that the great flood defined contained in the Bible did not ensue, even opposite to the geographical information. This crushes the hopes and ideology of Christians in our college structures and turns them faraway from the instructions of the Bible. creation technology and the Evolutionary concept are the real 2 premier causes at the back of the starting place of the international. regrettably, evolution is taught a techniques extra in our college structures than creation technology is. The historic account of Noah is smart in case you research the information for your self contained in the Bible. Too a lot of human beings do not study the account for themselves and settle for rumour with reference to Noah's historic account and different historic money owed from the Bible. This reason confusion and makes such historic money owed a lot less a risk by using human beings no longer utilising all the techniques obtainable to them.

It has been claimed by many that the Ark was found and I believe it to be true. The fact is that they don't believe it themselves because they analyzed the composition of the members of the Ark and dismissed it because the "timbers" showed no growth rings. Well, it appears to me that this is the golden seal of proof because the Bible clearly shows there no rain before the flood, therefore, trees would have no rings from rapid growth due to rain.
Also, when they measured what they found, it matched the biblical dimensions exactly.

A lot of people have given you good information about "the great flood" that shows up many times in ancient literature of about the same time. I've heard of people who think it never happened all the way to people saying that a satellite has found it on the bottom of the ocean and the military has said that it's construction is better than anything they've ever seen, so it must be by divine design. So, as you can see, we all have our minds to make up. You can take any set of facts and tell an infinite number of stories.

I dont know, how could people living under the enlightenment believe the story of Naturalistic Evolution and the spontanious uncaused undesigned generation of matter and life without proof all based on the personal testimony and philosophy of atheists?

Suddenly Noahs Ark is lookin pretty good! Especially considering we have found archeological evidence of the flood.

I'm sure there was some shred of truth to the story. It was also mentioned in the Epic of Gilgamesh, just a slightly different version. It seems that in ancient times there really was some flood that wiped out most of the Mediterranean area and the local surviving tribes all adapted the story to fit into their oral history.

It sounds like you have been convinced of the impossible...
That it didn't happen. Do you have any idea of how much scientific evidence there is of the flood? You don't get taught that in schools anymore because the ACLU has convinced Americans that it is illegal.

I can't believe that people still believe in evolution when it is scientifically impossible. Please show the experiment that proved life can arise from nothing using purely naturalistic explanations.

At least Christians admit that they believe in the power of God. Evolutionists believe in the power of nothing. How absurd is that?

Did you know that the ark was found in the exact location and has the exact dimensions as told in the Bible?

See for yourself...

Pieces of the ark were actually found on mount Ararat - in our time. You weren't there in the time of Noah to know if it actually took place. Maybe it's not a question of being gullible, but some just choose not to question things as much as you, and accept that they don't need proof for everything.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "actually took place".

Certainly there were large local floods in Mesopotamia.

Certainly it is possible someone in Mesopotamia had access to a boat.

Certainly it is possible that a farmer in ancient Mesopotamia with access to a boat once survived a large local flood on a boat with his family and his farm animals.

Certainly it is possible that an oral tradition grew up about this man's survival and that the oral tradition got written into the Bible and the Epic of Gilgamesh.
