Because you probably needed it. take the time and do whatever you want to do... Going out alone is some great great fun let me tell you. You meet lots of people becuase there is not another person the one approaching has to worry about. You are always center of attention. Just be responsible when going out alone. If drinking drink early and cut yourself off at 1 or something. If you hook up with someone you can go home with or take you home then keep drinking. Nice thing about going out alone is YOU DONT HAVE TO TELL ANYONE.
