It works if your hair is already light. Hydrogen peroxide works a little better for highlights though. Remember, it is better to spread out the highlighting process over a few days than do it all in one day.

Yes, the acidity/heat will take the color out of your hair.
For some real fun, write on a piece of paper with a toothpick dipped in lemon juice. Let it dry and keep it cool.
Later, you can bring out the 'hidden writing' by heating the paper over the stove. Don't set it on fire. This is an old trick for sending secret messages.

It does but it smells like crap. You might want to try and use a mixture of fresh lemon juice and water in a little spray bottle. It won't be as harsh on your hair as Sun In.

I used to have dark brown hair until I used sun in so now I have like a golden brown!I think the colors really pretty it's just I don't like when people say my color is orange!
