I am probably 45 lb overweight but my heart is in great condition according to my trainer...now. it seems that now that i am trying to work out for probably the 11th time in my life.. because i ve been here and there trying to lose weight but for some reason I cant lose any weight no matter what exercises I do i dont see results and I end up giving up on it and then I start starving myself & now that i am working more than ever 4 times a week I get really hungry .. and i cant control it I have 2 liters of water each day but for some reason I fear food and I feel more comfortable starving myself than "eating right"but then my bf tells me I shouldnt be starving my self and so i start eating again .. and the last thing i notice is that I am eating 3 meals a day with snacks!!! and so i get freaked out again and I go into starvation .. what should I do??.. DO you think I do have a problem with food?

Starving yourself is the most unhealthy thing you can do to your body, and the end result is death. You need to contact a counselor at once and to get help for your self-starvation, what is more commonly known as anorexia. YES, you have a problem with food; you have a problem with your self-image; and you have a problem how you deal with weightloss, especially when your weight plateaus and you aren't getting results every day.

It takes a great deal of discipline to destroy your body through starvation. Therefore, you already have what it takes to discipline yourself to a healthy diet that results in successful weight loss to your healthy goal. The equation is simple: increased caloric-burning(i.e. exercise) plus decreased caloric-intake(eating less) equals weight loss. This is a simple fact...that rarely works out the way we would like. If you are exercising and dieting, it can be frustrating when we have a few days or longer in a row where our bodies don't lose an ounce. This does not mean that your program is a failure, NOR does it mean that you are a failure. You are only a failure if you either give up altogether or if you attempt to reach your goal through destructive measures, such as starving. For the sake of your life, you need to be eating at least 1500 calories of healthy, natural food a day. 1800 would actually be even better, but I figure if you're anxious about eating...getting you to consume 1500 might be all the challenge you're up for. Next, you need to exercise without overtraining. If you can't get a good caloric burn going within an hour to ninety minutes, then you need to change to a different exercise program. However, beyond 90 minutes and you may be risking overtraining which will ultimately slow you down. Above all, when your weight loss comes to a halt, promise yourself that you will not worry about it, obsess about it, or change your program...unless this plateau lasts longer than three weeks. If it is simply a plateau, then your weight should start downward well before your three week deadline. If, on the other hand, it's week four and still no movement, then you have to decide whether you're happy where you are at or if you need to change up some of the elements in your program. Good luck and blessings!!

If you starve yourself, you actually gain more weight when you do decide to eat. Please don't starve yourself.. it's very unhealthy and can lead to serious health problems such as Bulimia or Anorexia. Do NOT give up - you can do it, if you put your mind to it. For diet, try eating three small meals a day.. small portions. And drinking the water is good, keep that up. Losing weight is a combination of diet and exercise. If you're about forty five pounds overweight, it won't take as long as someone who is extremely obese, like over a hundred pounds overweight. If you're not big on exercise (though you said you had a trainer?) try dancing - it is good exercise, and so is swimming. If you're in decent health, you have the option to also try a diet pill such as "Stackers." (they have so many to choose from, that's just naming one!) Maybe your metabolism is just slow. Good luck, and remember.. don't give up. Also.. you don't want to end up with Diabetes type two.. my father has that and it's not good. You can get it from being overweight.

To answer your question directly, it sounds like the beginning of an eating disorder. So stop it, now.

I had a dietician teach me while I was pregnant and gained minimal weight that we are supposed to eat every two hours. I watched my carbs. I ate 30 carbs every two hours what this did was keep my level of energy up and as I moved through every day life I burned up those carbs. If carbs are unused they turn to fat. So you have to burn more than you consume. If you eat one two or three larger meals what your doing to your body is taking it up and down rather than at a steady energy level all day. I would sometimes eat 15 carbs every hour. You i'm sure could do this with calories and fat grams. You really should eat what is on the food pyramid and again not all at once. Also if you eat bad carbs such as chocolate those stay in your body they take a lot longer to burn even if you exercise. But if you eat healthy carbs they come out of your system much faster. Therefore burning the fat you already have on your body. Also if you dont eat, you will not burn body fat food eaten the right way gives you energy to burn fat faster. So as for you having a problem with food dont feel alone it's because many people dont know how to eat. Go to a hospital they could possible refer a dietician. Good luck

There is no reason to be scared of food. You need to start looking at food as a way to fuel your body, not as the enemy. Eat healthy foods and the right portions and everything should be okay. Eating healthy and exercising at the same time will make you lose weight or atleast stay the same, but look alot better.

YOu definately have a problem. Go to see a dietian. They can give you the foods you should eat at every meal. If you have it all written down for you and planned, then maybe you will be more likely to follow through on it.

Sounds like you do............try over eaters anonymous unless you can afford private or group therapy...........I have struggled with it all of my life too. I have tried starving too, to the panic of my friends.
I do best if I make a concerted effort to pick only nutritious food and to stop eating the moment I feel full............easy to say, hard to do.
Best of luck to you
