i am new at this jr high and all my friends are at the other one here. i don't know anyone and everyone know each other cause they went to the same middle school...i didn't. how can i fit in and make friends. fyi...i am kinda shy (yes, i will work on that)

The most effective word when making any new acquaintance is "Hi." Go from there. Concentrate on making one friend, then another. Soon you will have more than enough.

In order to get a better perspective I went to my children on this one because they had to do the same thing this year. My youngest who is 10 said she tells jokes to break the ice and my oldest child who is 12 said that she dresses " dress to impress". I think the best advice is to be yourself and don't sell yourself short remember your old friends liked you for who you were so there is nothing stopping your new friends from doing the same.... hope this helps :)

Just be yourself and be friendly to everyone. You will find friends.
I went to about 15 different schools in the 10 years i attended.
Kids needs friends, and they need YOU to be their friend, not the other way around. As long as you always think like that you wont have to worry about self pitty or being self concious.

Don't try to fit in. The "popular" crowd will spot a faker from a mile away. Conformity is deformity.
Be yourself, be friendly and interact with as many people as you can everyday. Be nice to everyone and don't keep to yourself too much or people will assume you are pretentious. Be able to laugh at yourself.
Seriously, it works.

Be yourself,
If you dont look like enjoy yourself, nobody will enjoy to be together with you.
If you want to have friend(s), say hi and chat a bit everytime you meet. Hang out together (maybe cafe after class) when you think he/she is close enough. But just dont follow her/him everytime you meet.
Join a club wont hurt either. Softball club maybe :p

well even if you dont need to know ask someone where the bathroom is or something and start a conversation with you name tell them what your next class is and things like that

i imagine he's in basic terms attempting to get his existence again heading in the right direction and he needs an outstanding buddy to assist him by. So i imagine you ought to adhere by technique of his section and attempt to be an outstanding buddy to him. bypass see him and do stuff with him. wish that helps. enable me recognize the way it seems.

ok the same thing happened to me two years ago... all you have to do is be yourself and be friendly dont let people think you're stuck up...unless you are but just be yourself
